Pittsburgh, in control of the AFC North for most of the year, is now 1 game ahead of the Ravens. As fate would have it, they meet next week in Baltimore. Not only that but Pittsburgh has a very tough finish to the season. After Baltimore they get KC and Cincinnati in the finale.

Speaking of Kansas City, Mahomes was injured (ankle) at the end of the game. They have a nice 2 game lead over Buffalo for the #1 seed. But Buffalo owns the tiebreaker and KC has to play vs Houston, at Pittsburgh and finish at Denver. The Bills play vs New England, vs the Jets and at New England. :o

The Chargers loss dropped them to third in the AFC West, 1 game behind Denver. And as fate would have it, they meet each other this Thursday in L.A.. The Chargers need a win vs Denver in the division but they also need to win period. A loss brings Miami, Cincinnati and Indy back into the playoff picture.

Houston has already won the division but they have a chance to play spoiler going to KC, then hosting the Ravens and finishing at Tennessee.

Over in the NFC, the Eagles are tied with Detroit for the #1 seed but the Lions have a better conference record. For now. Philly has what looks like a cake schedule at Washington, vs Dallas and vs the Giants in the finale. The Lions play at Chicago, at San Francisco and vs the Vikings.

Washington is in the #7 seed for now. They play vs Philly, vs the Falcons and finish at Dallas. Not easy.

With a win tomorrow vs Chicago, the Vikings will be tied with Detroit in the North but the Lions have the better division and conference record. And Minnesota has a helluva schedule to finish. After the Bears, they go to Seattle, host Green Bay and visit Detroit. They need a win every week to keep pace with the Lions.

Tampa looks like they have a hold on the South. However, they lost to the Falcons twice. If Atlanta beat the Raiders tomorrow, they'll remain one game behind Tampa. The Bucs finish at Dallas, vs Carolina and vs the Saints. The Falcons finish vs the Giants, at Washington and vs Carolina.

We know what's going on in the West. If Green Bay can hold their 17 point halftime lead the Rams are tied with Seattle but have the lead because of their defensive win over the Seahawks. Arizona won today to remain 1 game behind. They play at Carolina, at the Rams and vs San Francisco. The niners play at Miami, vs Detroit and at Arizona. Seattle hosts the Vikings, then go to Chicago and L.A..

What a WILD finish the NFL has in store for us.
