Last year he finished #3 in rushing (1142 ; 12 TDs) but led the league in yards per game due to the fact he missed 4 games. This year, he's #3 in rushing (1243), 96 yards ahead of Josh Jacobs (who plays tonight). He's got 13 rushing TDs (the same as Saquon Barkley and Derrick Henry). I know he's not overlooked by Ram fans but dayem! His name rarely comes up with the likes of Barkley, Henry, Jacobs, Gibbs, Bijan, Taylor, Aaron Jones or Conner. This dude is a stud and he does it all. Runs, catches and blocks.

Since the beginning of 2023, Barkley has more rushing yards (2800 to 2385) but just 19 rushing TDs to Kyren's 25. Barkey is great but I like our RB. 8-)

Last night, Jacobs had 69 rushing yards so Kyren is still #3 in the NFL. As of now, even the stats say Kyren is a top 3 RB in the NFL.....for the last 2 years. Pretty awesome.

There are 4 guys who've amassed 1,000 yards rushing in both 2023 and 2024. Henry, Kyren, Conner and Pollard, with 2 more who will probably join them (Harris and Mixon).

I’m very happy with Kyren, but it’s not fair to compare him to Barkley over past 2 seasons. Barkley was in a hell hole in NY for years. The guy is much better than Kyren if only for the simple difference of long speed. Kyren is not going for 80 TD runs. He’s more like Lawrence McCutcheon compared to OJ Simpson. (Just reminiscing)

IMO this relative neglect of KW has to do with the fact that he's an average back past the LOS. No long speed, not that elusive, not a power back.

What gets overlooked though is his play before he hits the LOS.

That's his super power. He sets up LBs (he directly says that's what his game is all about) and always hits the right spot at the right millisecond. To be what he is, he has to have vision, anticipation, and burst, and has to be good--and I mean superlatively good--at reading both his blockers and the defense. He's the perfect back for this OL. We've seen several typical KW games. 5 here, 4 there, 9 here, 6 there.

When the Rams run game is on with Wms in there, it sets up the perfect environment for Stafford to thrive in.
