What got Forbes cut from the active roster is not a lack of talent, rather his inconsistent play. The Commanders are in the midst of a playoff run so inconsistent play isn't what they want in a active CB. For whatever the reason they needed the roster spot.

You can see Forbes has the talent to be a good starter given good coaching and time to develop. I really think this signing was with an eye on next year. If he can contribute this year in a backup or rotational role great, but I think the Rams see a potential starter in him perhaps as early as next year.

I always felt CB was a priority need. Given the limited picks the Rams have next year this could be viewed as filling a priority need. The Rams don't have a second or 5th round pick.

They wouldn't call it gambling if these bettors weren't guessing. LOL I love it when the public assumes the Rams will be losers. Look at the 2021 season what were the odds at the beginning of the season that the Rams would win it all?

All I know is what I see on the field. Except for the PK this is a far better roster.

IMO had Jackson not replaced Limmer the Rams would be 7-5 and what would be the betting line be then? That IMO is the difference. In gambling there is an assumption that past performance is a solid predictor of future performance without regard to why things were what they were.

I have no doubt that had the Rams not suffered catastrophic injuries this team would be on top of the NFCW by multiple games. This is about as healthy as they have been since the opening game in Detroit. They lost that game against the favorite to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl this year by a single point.

If the Rams simply don't give the game away via turn overs and costly penalties this game is a tossup. I'm going into this game with the mindset that unless the Rams hand the game to the Bills the Rams are going to get another DUB.

AS A LOYAL RAM FAN FOR MY WHOLE LIFE (I'M 75 BTW) HOW CAN I THINK OTHERWISE? I'M OLD NOT SENILE. :P

Here's where I think McVay outsmarts himself. He's knows what he's got and what they are good at. He knows what the opponent's got and what they are good at. And he game plans for that scenario. He expects perfect execution and clever plays that don't work because the OL doesn't given Staff enough time. Or KWill runs into a wall because 9 reads the D and knows they are coming.

Thing is-- game like this-- there's nothing to lose. Bills will score 30. We've been scoring 21 on average. Lets mix things up, take gambles, play loose. Get blown out or, perhaps, surprise someone. Lets see what happens when Puka, Kupp, DRob, and Tutu run loose. Let see what happens when you split carries between Corum and KWill. Perhaps a screen or two. Tutu can play QB, maybe trick play early? Lets experiment cause the normal game gets us a L at 35-21.

I think we've got the talent, but the play-calling holds us back and gets us slow starts.

If we have a slow start with the Bills, its over before the half.

Ain’t that the truth, Ziggy.

Turnovers will likely be key.

I think McVay deserves to take some of the blame for slow starts, but he doesnt control how long the defense allows the opposing team to be out there. Also like McVay mentioned it is often simply execution. Example McVay talked about how D Rob didnt get enough depth on his route therefore the catch ended up out of bounds. It is often the little things.

Personally I would like to see McVay really stick to the run, that is where the Bills defense has issues. Slow the game down and play keep away from the Bills offense.

If you throw in a trick play here and there fine.

In my opinion we will need the defense to probably score or at least get us +2 in TO margin.
We should play free in this game as IMO it is a bit of a bonus if we win it.

I don't know what the problem is or what the answer should be. But I'm sure OL is a huge factor. The injured guys we got back should improve weekly (Havenstein; Avila). I sure would like to see a deep throw or two to Tutu EARLY, if for nothing else, to back off the defense a bit. I'd like to see Kyren AND Corum. I suppose it's a little like fantasy football....you want your studs out there all the time.....but unlike fantasy football, you have to count on everybody or you're going to wear down your studs by the 4th quarter. If you do involve everybody, everybody has a chance to make a difference.

As far as this game goes, NOBODY is picking the Rams and as level headed fans, we don't expect a win. BUT....you never know. A couple of TDs early by our offense, a fumble recovery or a pick by our defense and we could pull it off. Like I said, we don't expect it but it is the NFL, so you never know.
