The Rams will have some special guests in attendance on Sunday night when they host the Eagles at SoFi Stadium. They’re celebrating the 25th anniversary of the 1999 Rams team that won Super Bowl XXXIV against the Titans, welcoming back several members of the championship squad.

Kurt Warner, Isaac Bruce, Orlando Pace, Marshall Faulk, Torry Holt and Mike Jones will all be participating in the festivities this weekend, ending with a prime-time game against the Eagles at SoFi.

“The history of the Rams cannot be written without names like Bruce, Faulk, Holt, Pace and Warner, and the history of the NFL cannot be written without The Greatest Show On Turf and The Tackle,” Rams president Kevin Demoff said in the release. “As their legacies live on in Canton, in their hometowns and across the world thanks to on-field heroics and a Super Bowl championship, their impact continues to be felt in communities across the country through their commitment to important causes. We look forward to teaming up with our ’99 team and our partners to give back this weekend and we are thrilled to celebrate one of the greatest teams in league history on Sunday Night Football.”

Don't know if this qualifies but the two games where the Rams honored new HOF inductees (Bruce and Vermeil) both went really badly for the Rams.

Here's the GSOT hype video (or not):

Although the Eagle offense gets all the attention, IMO it's the defense that is probably the strength of their team. They have good CBs on the boundary and a solid SCB. But they haven't played a team like the Rams where McVay schemes his WRs open. If the OL can keep Stafford clean (or even relatively so) the Rams have the WRs to challenge the Eagles. People over look the importance of Robinson and yes Atwell. They can double cover both Kupp and Puca at their peril because if given the time, Robinson has shown he can get open.

The driving force of their offense is Barkley. His threat drives the RPO system they prefer. Limit Barkley and they can be beaten. I don't think the Eagles have faced a DL with the speed and power the Rams bring.

I think they will move Durant back to the boundary opposite Williams. With the emergence of Kinchens, Shula can play Lake at SCB with Curl and Kinchens at safety. The Eagles are going to make their plays on offense. The key to the game will be for the offense to get untracked and score early and keep up the pressure. The key to the offense is the play of the OL which hopefully continues it's stellar play with Limmer at center.

This game looks to be a very good game. It will show just how good or not the Rams are on both sides of the ball. I think the game might be decided on the final possession regardless of who has the ball. That is to say I think the margin will be one score.

I feel good about the Rams going into this game.

Well the Birds may have the push tush offense, but this defense knows how to kick ass. I'll take ass kicking over tush pushing any day. Tush pushing only applies to short yardage. Ass kicking is something the defense can do all game long.

Time to roast some eagle for Thanksgiving.

Time for this team to start living up to it's potential. If they are for real it must start Sunday night. In terms of pure talent, I think this roster is more talented than the one they won Super Bowl LVI with. This OL is better, they are deeper at RB, and WR. The DL is as good. Yeah, there was AD and Von Miller. But again it's about production and threat level. The Rams have it with Verse, Fiske, Turner and Young. Now add in the rotational guys like Hoecht, Davis, and Brown and Shula has real playmakers up front. With Curl, Lake, and Kinchens the Rams are insane at safety.

Now is when it all must come together and serve notice to the NFL that the Rams are truly back.
