Another make or break week. Another last ditch effort to salvage a season. It’s mind boggling to see the D make strides only to see the O revert to their allergic reaction to the red zone.

I know the TEs have underperformed…all of them. Waiting for Higbee to return in DEC is not an answer. Injuries, a juggled OLine and a lagging running game. I expect all this to virtually disappear this week. I did not have that sense against Miami. The result was exactly what I expected. And why?

Because every time I see this front 7 finally perform beyond expectations I pucker up every time they don’t get home for a sack. My reaction is always the same….oh shite…SOMEBODY’S gotta be open….and they usually are. I’m looking for a sign this week that our DBa can handle a team lacking superstar WRs and finally carry their load in a game we should otherwise dominate. We opted not to go get a CB or trade any of our WRs. Depth we have for depth we need. Is this the week our DBs step up? I say it is!

This team is a work in progress. IMO it's not the defense that is the problem right now. The defense has played well enough to win since the bye. The issue is the offense completely sucks.

This last loss IMO is at the feet of McVay. He's the one who replaced an improving Limmer with an unproven Jackson with disasterous results. Even when it was going bad did he pull Jackson like he should have?

Jackson's play was marginal before he got hurt. Why did McVay think he would be fine with minimal practice coming off IR? He's got to take off his blinders and play his best players regardless of how much they are being paid. Both Parkinson and Jackson have been major duds this year.

Now they are down to their #3 RT in McClendon and you don't think the Pats won't target him? I expect McVay to double down on his OL decision and move Jackson back to LG and waste their best run blocker in Avila at center.

Stafford is a sitting duck and requires a run game to function properly. This should be a get well game. But if McVay is still going to experiment with the OL who knows. If the Rams keep Avila at LG and play Limmer, while giving blocking support for McClendon, I think the Rams win the game. If they double down and play Jonah all bets are off because the offense is likely to struggle.

Start Limmer and use Jackson as an extra blocker/TE on short yardage downs. :D

Here's your sign.

well they came through but the DBs get a C grade. I’m going by playoff team standards. Overall a solid W.
