I was talking about next year's draft with friends. Most myself included expect the Rams to take long hard looks at proven vets as FA or trade targets.

I threw out the name Drew Allar as a draft target. He's got prototypical size, he's a pocket passer who makes his bones in the short to intermediate zones but has enough arm talent to make deep throws. Take him in the first round even late first and you control his rights for 5 years allowing him to play behind Stafford in 2025 and give the Rams a legit #2QB. He's mobile enough to get yards when things break down. Give him a year to develop behind Stafford and the Rams could have their next franchise QB1.

I'm expecting McVay to prefer a vet but think the Rams must think long term, and with 5 years of affordable QB play it allows them to pay guys like Turner, Young, and Nacua. If the Rams are going to build their team via the draft they must also include the QB1 position.
