Don't blame this loss on the defense. One possession first and goal with no points. Two offensive turnovers and a missed extra point. That is why the Rams lost

Once again McVay chases points and comes away with nothing and it would have made a huge difference. Even a simple FG changes how they play that last possession. When McVay chases points and doesn't get them the Rams almost always lose. The one game he allowed the game to come to him, they beat the Niners. It's Sean's biggest weakness as a coach. I used to work at a casino in the San Diego area in their gaming commission. I've seen that same issue with gamblers with similar results.

The lack of defensive discipline and damn poor tackling is huge. As good as they are both Verse and Fiske made rookie mistakes by not being disciplined which cost the Rams. It's not so much Shula but with his young unit who make many crucial mistakes. That takes time to rectify.

That is a complete team loss. Offense. Defense. Special teams. They all did their part to contribute to this loss.

Now we are 1-4. Worst record in the NFL. Does anyone think we can win 10 of the last 12 to make the playoffs? 😂😂

Time to start talking about the draft and who will play QB after Stafford retires.

This is not an insufficient offense or defense. This is an insufficient team that just doesn't have enough of either to win. Good effort today but again came up short. 1-4 almost never makes playoffs. When this team gets some talent back they may become effective spoilers but I fear little else because they'll be too far back.

Sorry Dare, when your defense consistently gives up explosives, can’t tackle, can’t cover, and can’t get off the field on 3rd down - they take a lot of blame. Offense does too. Like Bremillard said, we don’t have enough (quality) on either side of the ball l. They needed to go at least .500 while waiting for key injured players to return. They are .200. There won’t be enough time unless you think they are winning 9 of their next 12??

It could happen. It’s just statistically, highly unlikely. But so was last year.

So, I watched the game on my phone. MCV said the corners played well “sticky”. I have to find time to watch again/all 22. But, you can be sticky all day then have a 3rd qtr and 1 in the first where you give up massive explosives. That can’t happen if you really want to be a top team. They literally have to come out of the bye and run off 5+ wins. The defense has to tackle better and eliminate explosives in order to do that. If an offense goes 15 plays and scores, so be it. But even that can’t happen more than 2x a game. The passing game on offense is really limited based on who is out at G/C and WR - and damn I miss Higs and even Davis Allen. Our TEs just don’t make a difference like we need them too - not to my eyes. All the more reason to design a heavy run approach with new play action wrinkles. We are not close. But at the same time, not so far off that it can’t be recovered. But damn we just aren’t good enough through 5 weeks. That’s a tough pill to swallow.

This is why Sean Mcvay wanted to retire. He didn’t want to part of an ugly rebuild.

How do I feel about this game?

We had our chances. Kyren can’t fumble. You gotta get touchdowns take points. Not go for two.

I thought the Packers did everything to give the Rams the game on a silver platter.

Having a young team you’re gonna run into games like this. Verse is raw. Makes plays will leave some on the field. A future leader of the defense.

The Rams have to decide are they going to try to win or develop? Seems like we are doing a combination of both. I think win.

Facts are we don’t have Steve Avilla Cooper Kupp Puka Nacua Jonah Jackson Tyler Higbee Allen Joe Notebloom that’s a huge part of our team. I think that’s a difference in wins.

When they get back it will make enough difference for us to barely get in the playoffs. I don’t see a clear cut number 1 team still wide open.

Niners look like shit. Arizona gets the ass kicked Seattle looks like a team in transition and so the Rams gotta see who they are after the bye. It says a lot about a team who responds to this.

The Rams will they have a lot of players coming back.

It’s hard to get around that line.

If this team continues to spiral.

Travis Hunter defensive back is a difference maker on this defense who can be that corner to build with Verse and Fiske and become a Super Bowl winning team.

Stafford has three more seasons left. He can still produce.

You gotta get the next guy.

No franchise Quarterbacks in this draft

Sanders Beck no thanks.

Now the Arch Manning Raiola draft yes there will be talent in that draft. That next season so something to think about.

Focus on we are building a team that will be good for years to come.

Add a Quarterback to that now you are talking about a special unit.

If a player like Myles Garrett comes available do you take a run at him?

Give Stafford and these guys one last shot. Or do you just keep trying to build.

But this is the other side of F them picks.

Facts are tutu Atwell is getting double coverage. And now defenses are respecting him and putting a man over the top.

4th and 5 is converted if that is Cooper Kupp or Puka Nacua.

So that’s the other side is having these guys out.

Kupps gotta stay on field.
