I think it's pretty clear they don't need a PS spot taken by a PK with Karty kicking well, despite that miss Sunday.

Gotta figure a position of need will fill those spots. TE? DT? ILB?

The JP Long interview with Karty is worth a listen just about he complexity of the kicking game. Now I understand why McVay would consistently talk about the whole 3 person setup not just the kicker. Having Ward back is huge.

Karty explains how Ward has to try and snap it with the laces facing away and if not Ethan has to try and correct mid hold. Sounds like he miss was mostly a laces issue on the hike plus maybe not accounting for the wind as much.

All I know is Karty kicks the ball pure, not worried about the kicking game anymore. We got out guy and he can do it from distance.

I knew about the laces, but didnt know they depend on the center to spin the ball just right to have the laces good for the holder.
