After mostly playing poorly; having had numerous star players out injured; AD having retired; several rookies starting; and after less than a quarter of this season played, we sit at 1-3. Guess what? We are two games out of first in our division and ONLY ONE GAME out of a wildcard spot! Yes, a .500 record could get you a wildcard spot right now. This year, mediocrity will get you into the playoffs, and once in, you've got a chance. For ALL that has gone wrong, our playoff chances are still better than they were just one year ago. I'd think that at least one, 9-8 team will make the playoffs. Even the two time defending Super Bowl champs, while sitting at 4-0 have only averaged winning their games by 5 points! I want to believe that most weeks we should be ascending due to our rooks gaining in technique, and experience plus getting many valuable starters back over the next 2-3 weeks.
