The Rams may not extend Tutu but he's grown into a pretty damn good WR in the right scheme. The problem is the Rams have a type of WR they prefer as their starters. Tutu is fine as a motion man but he's not going to give them the blocker that McVay covets in his scheme. Sean uses the 11 personnel because his WRs block like TEs. Unfortunately, Tutu certainly deserves better as a starter than as a #4. I just hope he leaves the NFCW. 2 by ramsman34 2 months 3 weeks ago Total posts: 9452 Joined: Apr 16 2015 Back in LA baby! Moderator Re: Interesting breakdown POST #2 actionjack, RAMMAN76 liked this post I think Tutu would work great in rotation with Kupp and Nacua. It would help them stay healthier longer with a fewer snaps, and it forces MCV to create new plays, formations, etc. that don’t require Tutu to be a heavy blocker. MCV likes to make plays looks the same so you can still run with Tutu in, he would just eliminate a D player or two by running a route as opposed to blocking at the point of attack. It can be done and MCV can do it. If he wants to do it. 2 by Dare 2 months 3 weeks ago Total posts: 384 Joined: Mar 09 2024 Tucson, AZ formerly of San Diego Starter Interesting breakdown POST #3 TOPIC AUTHOR 99Balloons liked this post It would be nice if Tutu would extend but he's proven he can be a starter in the right scheme. He's not going to waste the prime of his career as a backup and he shouldn't. The offers he will get will not be able to be matched by the Rams and they will see him as a comp pick. I'm glad Sean has finally seen the potential in Smith as their return specialist. I was shocked it took this long. When he was signed I felt they finally had a legit returner with vision and speed. Overall I must admit that Blackburn has gotten his STs on track. It was fun to laugh at the bumbling Niners lose a game in much the manner that the Rams lost so many through the years. Footall is a trident, Offense, Defense and Special Teams. It takes all three to be a consistent winner. Now IMO their major concern is how long to the Rams trust Stafford's arm to hold out. Nothing would put a damper on a SB run than an injured QB1. With luck, Stafford has one more year in his arm. Unfortunately, I see an end to the Stafford/Kupp era, which I feel is closer than most want to admit. The Rams have Nacua and potentially Whittington to fill the WR gap. They have Corum as their follow-on RB. Their D is young and IMO going to improve with experience. The biggest question mark is Stafford's arm. 17 games is a long season with an 18 game season probably in the forseeable future. That said I have trust in Snead and McVay who have proven themselves to be one of the best GM/HC tandems in the NFL. 1 by ramsww 2 months 3 weeks ago Total posts: 604 Joined: Aug 11 2022 LA Coliseum Veteran Interesting breakdown POST #4 99Balloons liked this post Dare wrote:It would be nice if Tutu would extend but he's proven he can be a starter in the right scheme. He’s back and Tu Tu could easily be huge in this offense. I just hope we don’t waste Corum’s best years. 1 Reply 1 / 1 Display: All posts1 day7 days2 weeks1 month3 months6 months1 year Sort by: AuthorPost timeSubject Sort by: AscendingDescending Jump to: Forum Rams/NFL Other Sports Rams Fans United Q&A's Board Business 4 posts Dec 21 2024
