We retained Durant, signed Williams and White, plus the CB from Detroit (waived), drafted at least 2 and jettisoned Witherspoon, Shelley and others. We have some safeties who can cover but only 2 true CBs with NFL experience and one is nursing a hammy. When Ernest Jones was cut I thought they were cooking up a FA signing at MLB….but nope. Reeder get’s the start. It would not be reasonable to expect Howard, Witherspoon, Shelley or any FA signing to start today but not to sign anyone? Let’s hope Durant can go or we get to Goff before he gets to our rookie CBs. by ramsman34 3 months 1 week ago Total posts: 9453 Joined: Apr 16 2015 Back in LA baby! Moderator Re: CBs becoming rare on Roster POST #2 Durant was a full participant in practice. Cant do that with a bad hammy. The Rams a very cautious with soft tissue stuff. He should be ready and from all accounts was great in camp. When I saw him he played exceptionally well. Covered our WRs like a blanket. I wouldn’t worry about the ILBs too much. Speights will be the man there by mid season me thinks and he will prove to be an upgrade over Jones I believe. Have a little faith - the staff know what they are doing. They have developed quality depth over the past few seasons. Doesn’t mean we will beat Detroit. But we should be highly competitive in this game, and can win it. We will only get better as the season progresses. Injuries notwithstanding.
