Bruised scapula(shoulder blade) for Jonah Jones according to Schefter. Approx. 6 weeks, questionable for opener.

Could be worse, I’m relieved.

When I heard sling my fear was torn pec or bicep. I wonder if he can participate in walkthroughs at some point? It sucks because he is the one new guy.

Exactly Phoenix. And he won’t get real reps until the Detroit practice week. Not good. Might see Noteboom at LG the first game.

It will be interesting who they replace him with. Although I expect Noteboom or McClendon, I hope they take a hard look at Beaux Limmer. This guy is a mean SOB who can play OG or center. He moves very well with good footwork overall, and the strength to counter bullrushes. Limmer gives them the option of playing him at Center and moving Avila back to LG until Jackson returns or simply plugging Limmer in at LG until Jackson returns which IMO would be better overall. Limmer plays smart and looks good with his ability to recognize defensive plays across from him.

Injury is the biggest issue with Jackson so IMO it would be smart to cultivate a long term option at LG.

KT Leveston might be a better long term solution at LG so it remains to be seen.

Maybe it’s me but I feel we dodged a bullet overall. Best case is he’s ready for Det, worst is by game 2-3. Sure beats out for the season

Exactly!!! Dodged a huge bullet!!! And we have depth to provide a fix for a short time.

Well, if we dodged a huge bullet, we got hit with a smaller bullet. The new guy on the O-line missing training camp doesn't sound great to me, and we don't really know how long he'll be out yet.

Let's see how this plays out.
