DK was a bubble sitter coming into this year. The only reason he started was because he was Raheem's buddy. The dude was toast if you put a quick move on him. He lacks speed so Morris allowed him to play very soft figuring if he was playing downhill in a soft zone he would be ok. But with no pass rush a savvy WR simply had to put a quick move on DK and he was toast.

It was clear from reports from OTAs that Durant even then was looked at as #3 CB and Lake as their SCB. Jason Taylor has good length and good speed to play both safety and zone CB. With Lake, White, Williams and Durant they are 4 deep at CB. With Taylor being another hybrid CB/S type of DB I really never realistically saw DK making this roster this year. A PS spot at best.

Dings this early in TC isn't always a good thing but they have time to see how White and Turner progress.

Jacobs started 12 games for the Lions last year. So he's got some experience. But the Lions weakest area was the secondary. And he was part of that secondary. Not sure if he'll be starter material. But at least its depth with experience.

I wonder why there is no interest in Witherspoon. He must be holding out for bigger $$$
