With all the rookies signed, Rams currently have just over $9 mil in cap space according to Spotrac. And they're best in the league with only $4 mil in dead cap...

Nice that's a veteran or two, or maybe some flex with Stafford or Jones....hmmm

One thing to monitor is Kupp, he makes a ton of money, he needs a big year this season or the conversations are going to get uncomfortable.

That's a big accounting misnomer. Rams are carrying a $25M cap hit for Donald this year.

Good point. Spotrac still shows him on the roster. I wonder if he counts towards the 53 and if these things change come June 1st...

Why should it count towards the 53,
the way I see it,
It's just like being on the PUP or IR.
Those players are getting paid and not counted against the 53.

He's on the roster now because they evidently designated him as a June 1 transaction. My guess is that he comes off the 51, his money goes to dead cap, and player 52 moves up and ~$1M more of cap space gets used.

Thats a good sign. it is really remarkable how well they did last year on cheap $$$ players as they shedded salaries.

Saw Tony Pastoors talk yesterday and he said once the dust settled, they'd have about $5 mil in cap space going into the season (without restructures or anything like that) which is the most they've had in a long time so if Snead/McVay want to make additions to the roster, they'll be able to...
