I am so tired of the constant drama around Aaron Rodgers. That one dude produces more drama than the entire student body of a wealthy girls high school.

If Danny Dimes gets this type of money, I can't imagine what Lamar's going to get from whomever. He's obviously a better QB, but the health questions and his play style is something limiting teams from offering up. I would also imagine the "collusion" of not wanting to pay full guaranteed for the position also limits things. Gonna be wild with the Hurts, Burrow and Herbert contracts coming up.

The thing about a fully guaranteed contract of that size is the owner has to put the guaranteed money in escrow. Not every owner can or wants to do that and i think that's probably the one collusion type of issue that might exist with Lamar.

I'd think it would be in the player's interest to change the escrow requirements. Not sure it that's possible or on the table mid-CBA but i think that's probably the answer...

I was unfamiliar with the "escrow" part of the league, but then listened to the Atheltic's podcast in regards to this issue. Teams like the Raiders who don't have the coiffers won't be in play when the Lamar types are available.

Right. A lot of owners don't have the money and there are probably plenty more who don't want to lock up cash like that...

They didn't become billionaires by being reckless with their fortunes. It'll be interesting to see how the QB contract evolves/devolves in the future with it already what? at 40mil for a B/B- starter in Daniel Jones, it's going to be wild when the aforementioned QBs rookie contracts are up.
