Which guys could get us a lofty Compensatory Pick? Methinks A'Shawn Robinson would have some interest from numerous NFL Teams.....very experienced and only 27 years young!

So who do you think McSnead should cut loose for 2023?
I am guessing Taylor Rapp gets alot of votes.

Personally, I think this team is a few years from contending again. I think its better when free agents walk not to replace them with other free agents so they can get more comp picks. Target guys who will not affect the comp formula. We're gonna need plenty of picks if we want to rebuild and make one last run at it down the road before Stafford retires. Even if means going back to those 4 or 5 win seasons for a couple years.

Gaines, Matt gay, Henderson and Scott are about the only unrestricted guys I would want back.

I posted in another thread, my guys to get cut or traded:
Akers, Higbee, Robinson, Noteboom, Allen, Wagner and Floyd. Donald retires.

I know some are big cap hits but they have to start somewhere. Just my opinion.

If Morris sticks around and keeps playing that vanilla defense with the soft corners AD is being wasted and far too expensive to be neutralized.
A lot of those guys are cheap so I can see quite a few coming back.
The Oline needs to be completely retooled. You can usually get some pretty good guys if available for a relatively reasonable price tag.
I want to see how these guys perform at their healthiest and hopefully with a different approach than we've seen through the 1st 7 games.

Yep. Jackson looks like the real deal at LT. Shelton should play center and Havs at RT. So they need 2 guards at least.

I wouldn’t dismiss Edwards quite yet and Brewster played pretty well at RG yesterday. I want to see what we have when Shelton (this week likely) and Edwards (next week) are back. If we can score at least 21/game at that point then the overhauls has to happen in the off season. Well, upgrades need to be made in the off-season regardless.

The D is designed to play with a lead/force teams into known passing situations. Other than when in stupid prevent mode, the D should work. But, more consistent pressure from ALL front 4 or 5 is necessary to really make the off coverage work and allow them to be more aggressive jumping underneath routes. We need an upgrade at edge.

OBJ back would be huge for the passing game, if the OL can improve in pass pro with the aforementioned guys back.

Of the 24 Ram FAs listed in the OP, McSnead have jettisoned one-sixth (4 bodies) already:

JUSTIN HOLLINS-Broncos 5th Rd 2019 claimed by GB the next day
DARRELL HENDERSON-Rams 3rd Rd 2019 claimed by Jax next day (DH is from nearby MS)
KENDALL BLANTON-Ram UDFA claimed by KC Nov.23 right before our KC game Sunday
MALCOLM BROWN-Snisher Ram UDFA who might endup back on Los Ramos 2022 PS?

McSnead also jettisoned 2020 Ram 3rd Rd Terrell Burgess who NYG claimed the next day.

Evans, Rapp, Troy Hill, David Long are goners in 2023 I reckon.
BUT...do we want Nick Scott gonzo too? Replacing both safety spots for 2023 could be ugly. Maybe re-sign Nick Scott no?

Oh....and it was interesting to see that the McSneadCanDoNoWrong! crowd opine that losing out on a potential 2024 Sixth Round Compensatory Pick for Darrell Henderson was No Big Thang! Means nothing to them apparently.

I guess it's Kyren Williams time now, eh!
Wondering why we don't bring Kier Thomas up from PS to get Hollins reps?
Thomas looked decent in PreSeason IMHO.
