Rob Havenstein leads Rams in performance-based pay

EARTH CITY, Mo. -- The Los Angeles Rams used a second-round pick on offensive tackle Rob Havenstein with the idea of plugging him in at right tackle immediately.

Havenstein not only took over the job but held it down for most of the 2015 season and started enough games to lead the Rams in performance-based pay. Havenstein took home an additional $187,747.81, a nice addition to the $435,000 base salary he had for his rookie season.

Performance-based pay is distributed from a fund for each team to supplement pay for players who play and produce a lot relative to their salary. In other words, those who play the most but don't make much get the biggest rewards.

Here's a breakdown of the Rams' top 10 earners in performance-based pay:
