Yahoo Sports' Charles Robinson reports the "starting point" in any Jimmy Garoppolo trade talks would likely be a first-round pick.
There's nothing quite like a Patriots backup to drive trade speculation. Garoppolo has a second-round pedigree and has spent two years learning under Tom Brady and Bill Belichick, but even in a quarterback-starved league, a first-rounder is extremely unlikely to happen. The Pats, who have little incentive to trade Garoppolo, surely know this.

I gotta say, i really have no idea what the Rams are gonna do at the QB position.

Standing pat, a high draft pick, trade or FA, it all seems very possible to me...

If I had to guess I would say RG3 or a high draft pick.

I concur and I don't want RG Knee and this regime has done much better drafting players and finding UDRFA's...So if they love one of the two (Wentz or Goff) trade up otherwise wait for Lynch and go forward with Keenum, Mannion & Lynch and maybe after half the season go with Lynch and hope he gets by on his athletic prowess alone.

I did like Jimmy Garoppolo coming out and if the Rams truly like him then IMO a 2nd & 4th would be worth it IMHO and he would be your starter day one. IMO the Patriots won't get a better offer and they will be trading him out of the AFC.

Agree with this. Although, I am a little higher on RG3 (for the right deal), and not as high on Lynch - he looks like he will take a while to develop and handle multiple reads and the speed of the game, blitz/coverage disguise, etc.

However is shakes out, the team has no more excuses, IMO. 10-6, playoffs or heads need to roll. And, I hate a lack of continuity. But, when continuity = mediocrity, time to change.

I thought I heard that they overturned Brady suspension again, and that he may face the 4 game suspension this season. I would imagine that would take Garoppolo off the market and if it didn't, I'd be concerned that NE finds him easily replaced
