Come on guys quit citing his win loss record as evidence against him come up with a valid argument. Yes Fisher averages 7 wins over four years and that's not good. But the four years prior we averaged 3 wins a year. There are many reasons we could and should move on from Fisher but looking at his win total makes him look good compared to his predecessors.

My reason for moving on is his total lack of ability to develop an offense as the reason to get rid of him.

Taking 4 years to turn a 3 win team into a 7 win team is a firing offense, imo.

I'm willing to give Fisher just the slightest pass because of relocation. It's easier to move a 7 win team than a 10 win team and maybe that's been having an indirect/subconscious effect on the team. Relocation certainly gave Fisher the luxury of job security in an era where coaches get fired for doing a lot better than Fisher has done with the Rams.

But that's all over now, no more grading on a curve...

It doesn't show in the record but those who understand football and follow this team knows the team has approved each year.

The 2015 7-9 team would destroy the 2012 7-9-1 team.

Also we're way better financially. The youngest team in the league with good strong leaders and stability in the locker room built for the next several years.

All this warrants an extension.

On paper the team looks much improved from when Fisher arrived. Personally, I think the team is better than their 7 win average, and I think lack of quality coaching is holding this team back.

If the quality is as vastly improved as it appears to be, back to back ROY for instance, and the record is worse than year 1, there's really no way to defend coaching

Ron Jaworski slams Jeff Fisher, blasts contract extension talk

Someone isn’t happy about the possibility of Los Angeles Rams head coach Jeff Fisher getting an extension, and his name is Ron Jaworski.

The longtime ESPN NFL analyst and former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback didn’t mince words to Mighty 1090 AM on March 1 when asked about his thoughts on Fisher:

“Did you say great coach?” Jaworski started off when being interviewed by Dan Sileo. “You’ve got to be kidding me. He’s an awful coach. He’s a terrible coach. He’s been fired by 30 teams years ago and is struggling to get back into this league. If you can’t develop a quarterback in the National Football League, you can’t be a consistent winning coach. Jeff Fisher went to one Super Bowl, he’s never developed into a consistent winning coach and he’s never developed a quarterback outside of Steve McNair. And Steve came in with a lot of ability and certainly, I did not think he was the guy.

“When you look at what that Rams offense was a year ago, it was disgusting,” Jaworski continued. “It was terrible. They were firing coaches. They were firing players. It was terrible.”

Jaworski then criticized Fisher’s decision to trade away the No. 2 overall pick to the Washington Redskins in exchange for three first round picks and a second round pick back in 2012. The move allowed Washington to draft Robert Griffin III. Jaworski pointed out that Fisher has “done nothing with it” and that “nothing positive has happened.”

Fisher has endured four consecutive losing seasons with the Rams, but has reportedly been in contract negotiations with L.A. since Feb. 29 . Fisher is 27-36-1 overall with the Rams and 169-156-1 overall in his 21 seasons as head coach.

For the most part, I agree with Jaworski, but what does this mean? "He’s been fired by 30 teams years ago and is struggling to get back into this league"

Fisher is the exception and not the rule based on team performance in his first 4 seasons. I hope it pays off, however I'm not overly confident it will
