Okay, I think my heart is beating again... let's see if I can encapsulate this one...3. First, but for some absurd mistakes, we blow out the defending champs today. That's noteworthy.4. The defense gets an A from me. I don't fault them for finally cracking late in the game. No defense holds up forever.5. The pass rush was fierce. Sacks by Donald, Miller and Floyd, and hits and hurries a plenty.6. Stafford was amazing. Sharp, in control, and fearless at the end!7. Cooper Kupp somehow managed to play like an MVP despite his untimely fumble.8. Cam Akers is going to have a rough night thinking back at two fumbles, but a guy who can overcome a torn Achilles in 6 months should be able to shake this off and come out strong next week.9. Four lost fumbles and a missed 47 yard FG. That can't happen. You know it. I know it. But, most of all, the Rams know it. I'm sure we'll be talking about it this week but, do we really need to? It was a fluke. I don't see it happening again. Thank goodness we survived.10. Is there a benefit in NOT coasting? Between the second half meltdown and an opponent with a 6 game win streak against us... I don't think overconfidence will be a problem next week.11. If you still doubt that Matthew Stafford was worth the price, you're either an immediate family member of Jared Goff or a raving lunatic.12. Contributions from Tyler Higbee, OBJ and Kendall Blanton??? (yeah, that last one was NOT a typo!)13. If this were to be Tom Brady's last game, how fitting would it be? Beat up for three quarters, then beat at his own game by Stafford & Kupp.14. Okay, now the elephant in the room... Round 3 against the 49ers. Ugh.15. It had to be this way, didn't it? Luke Skywalker had to defeat Darth Vader to become a Jedi, Rocky had to win a rematch he didn't really want against Apollo Creed, and fate is now telling the Rams that, to reach the top of the mountain, first we must defeat a true nemesis.16. Not going to go into full-on analysis of next week right now (plenty of time this week to do that), but I will say this... its going to take a 60 minute effort.17. Reinforcements coming? Andrew Whitworth, Darrell Henderson, Ernest Jones, Robert Rochell and Taylor Rapp could all be available next week.18. While we certainly want Big Whit back, you have to give credit to Joe Noteboom. He played a heck of a game, and looks like he's ready to succeed Whit whenever the timeless one decides to hang it up.19. I'm physically tired... and I've been sitting in a comfortable chair for the last 3+ hours!20. Thoughts POST #4 21. It looks like the defensive line is gassed at the end of both the Niner game and this game. AD plays almost every snap and he's going to needed to close out a game. Would like to see a deeper D-line rotation and that's why I think we'll see SJD get activated off the IR. Copeland and Brown never see the field and SJD will give Coach Henderson another NFL ready D-lineman that can spell Gains, Robinson and AD.22. Darious Williams will not get a new contract from the Rams.23. Benny Skow is an excellent special teamer, but he's got to hold onto the ball with a chance to put TB at the one-yard line.24. Coach Phillips has done an excellent job with the TE's.25. ST's have played great, big kudo's to Coach DeChamillis after a rough start to the season.I am also exhausted but we're on to Sofi to play the hated ones. Rams fans.......do not sell your tickets for a quick buck. Make it the Rams House.25. I was very worried that McVay picked a college O-line coach to replace Kromer, but Carberry has also done a great job getting the O-line to play well.25. by AvengerRam 3 years 5 months ago Total posts: 8919 Joined: Oct 03 2017 Lake Mary, Florida Hall of Fame 20 Random Not Today, Satan! Final Four!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I think the play with Weddle hitting Evans a split second after the ball hit the turf was crucial to the Rams' victory. Think about it. I know a lot happened in a short timespan with this game, but that play meant an enormous amount in terms of momentum and possible points scored in the red zone for the Bucs. It looks like the defensive line is gassed at the end of both the Niner game and this game. AD plays almost every snap and he's going to needed to close out a game. Would like to see a deeper D-line rotation and that's why I think we'll see SJD get activated off the IR. Copeland and Brown never see the field and SJD will give Coach Henderson another NFL ready D-lineman that can spell Gains, Robinson and AD.Good catch. Forgot about SJD. If he can play, that would help with the DL depth. by scramsfan 3 years 5 months ago Total posts: 228 Joined: Sep 18 2016 LA Coliseum Rookie 20 Random Not Today, Satan! But we ended up with the ball. In a game of crazy turnarounds, this one stands out for me... Coffee is for closers only. 1 Reply 1 / 3 1 3 Display: All posts1 day7 days2 weeks1 month3 months6 months1 year Sort by: AuthorPost timeSubject Sort by: AscendingDescending Jump to: Forum Rams/NFL Other Sports Rams Fans United Q&A's Board Business
