Both #1 seeds go down. These are not your father's playoffs...

On the other hand, if the Rams win tomorrow and play the NFCCG at home, does that excuse them for not winning the bye?

first time since 2010 that both #1 seeds got bounced in the divisional round...

home teams have never been swept in the divisional round in the super bowl era, they've gone 1-3 twice (1971 and 2008).

Fell asleep at halftime. I woke up thinking of Dennis Green

“You wanna crown em? Go ahead and crown em”

I knew there were too many assumtions being made. The stage is set for us if we just take care of business today. Brady will have a chip on his shoulder from this seasons frustrating loss to the Rams. We’ll need a bigger chip on ours.

Well, we gotta win today or it won't matter who won yesterday. I don't like the matchup. But when you look at it, the cards would be in our favor if we win. A home game. We know that last game with them we shoulda won. We blew it. Mistakes down the stretch lost it. There has to be a measure of confidence.

Today is all that matters.

They obviously have been psyched up for this game as should have been since beating Arizona last week. But is there any more incentive going into today's game, knowing that if they win they get to play the CCG at home vs the team they owe so much to for the last 3 seasons?

For the record, the Rams have beat the Bucs two straight (since that 55-40 debacle in 2019). Stafford is 2-1 vs Brady in his career. 1-1 in Detroit, 1-0 with the Rams. And has won two straight vs the GOAT.

Back to Rodgers and the fact since winning the Superbowl in 2010, he has not made it back to the Superbowl. Last night he became the first QB to lose to the same team 4 times in the postseason. In 9 postseasons since 2010, he has blamed:
.....not being the #1 seed for the losses

or excuses have been made by others for him like
.....the Packers just haven't surrounded him with enough talent, or
.....he's never had a great defense

The Facts are this:

.....they've lost as the #1 seed 3 times and at home as the #4 seed once in those 9 postseasons. In fact they are just 5-4 at home (2-5 on road) since 2010.
.....he's got what many claim to be the best WR in the NFL (Davante Adams)
.....he's got a great RB tandem in Jones and Dillon
.....they've had the #9 defense twice and #11 one other time
.....they've had the #9, #11 and #12 defense in points

Sure this year it can be blamed on their terrible special teams (ranked #32 by some) but the bottom line is 1 touchdown in 60 minutes, from the guy who is so great he makes the players around him better? And for a guy who plays well in that weather and makes great decisions, on their last offensive play (3rd and 11) he targets Adams in double coverage 40 yards downfield while Lazard is streaking across the middle, wide open 18 yards downfield.

queue the questions.....

will he stay in Green Bay or won't he?
will he demand more help on the roster?

or.....

is he just a great QB who can't win unless everything goes right for him?
