Thanks Karl. He looked better in these highlights than those 5 garbage time pro throws (not Tommy lol). He put up some decent numbers for OSt.

I also noticed he doesn't have much spin on the ball. He must have smaller hands.

Thanks for these highlights guys.

I am also under the impression his delivery looks sluggish. More on the time loading the pass but it does appear to have some good zip after that.

This observation could mean nothing with good game management abilities and ball placement.

I am one that does not count out that our franchise QB could be on the roster right now. I don't see any FA or draft QB's right now that fills any future certainty. Very thin market this year.

I saw more passes where his spirals were on the wobbly side than a good zip/spiral from those two clips...

Exactly, and his delivery is awkward.

I didn't see anything in that Bengals game that could give anyone an opinion, good or bad. The problem with looking at highlights of most top quarterbacks is that they all seem to have good protection. More than they would get in an NFL game. Who can make the transition to the NFL where reading defense is more difficult, going through progressions has to be quicker and getting rid of the ball has to be quicker? I guess that is where the experts make their money.

With any QB, especially a young one, you'd sure like to have confidence in your QB coach and OC that they know their craft. You can't develop a QB without quality coaching.

.

That's the thing with Mannion, he looks awkward and slow in his delivery but the ball actually comes out quickly.

Yep. And you probably can't properly evaluate them either...
