How recently was this rumor started?

Within the last couple of days.

This really really pissed me off. What an immature lot. I don't think any of "this" will be lost at NFL HQ. They will remember how StL treated them. Quite frankly, StL will never ever get another NFL team. There is just too much competition from cities like San Antonio, Toronto, London and other.s

Honestly, having league guys backing and being a part of the Rams is a lot more preferable to being pariahs because of Georgia. It was a tad before my time but Pete Rozelle was with the Rams before he became commissioner and the Rams were in a lot better shape back then as far as their standing with the league. I don't think that's a coincidence.

Rams are back in NFL's good graces. We shall see that manifest on the field. We won't be cheated against in another SB, that I can guarantee.

If Billechik is coaching, I don't think anything is a given.

You're probably right. But then again, I now think that 31 owners have ALSO grown tired of the Cheatriots cheating machine.

I would love to think that but I'm to the point that I think the NFL is as scripted as wrestling. I mean, did anyone truly believe the Broncos would beat NE, much less win it all?

On paper, NE should have easily beaten the Broncos IMO. But, this was Manning's last rodeo and "everyone" wanted him to get one more ring and go out on top. It's good theater. More importantly, it's money.

But I won't be surprised to see NE win another one either.

If the NFL is smart, they'll stop being so obvious about their fixes but as long as they're making money, I don't know if they'll change. I mean, does anyone really believe that Julian Edelman is the most unstoppable slot receiver to ever play the game? Or that NE can literally never run the ball and still not only win, but can't be stopped? That their o-line is so good they can stymie any defense? That BB has some secret way of coaching and doing things that the hundreds of other coaches in the league can't do? Even after coaching in NE and moving on?

I couldn't imagine the NFL actually being able to pull of something like influencing outcomes. I mean, think of how many people would have to be involved. Mainly the refs. How many refs are there in the NFL? Every one of them could keep quiet? I don't see it. The best they could do to influence a game is maybe send a memo to the head ref telling them a particular team has a history of something. Like maybe illegal contact or in the Rams case pushing the envelope on the aggressiveness. But scripting? They couldn't pull it off. Too many moving parts.

The tendency thing would go a long way to changing outcomes if it took away one teams edge. And it would not seem as if it were cheating.
I don't know if BB is a genius or not. The Patriot front office seems to keep the roster stocked with talent and attract those quality FA's. Tom Brady's skill set and killer gamesmanship doesn't hurt them either.
But where there's smoke, there's fire and to many instances of impropriety ave swirled around him and his club. And I believe he considers every play important and coaches the subtle or random plays, like Amendola creaming that Chief punt returner inside the 5 illegally. A personal foul which only netted a 2.5 yd loss but sent a message.
Similar to the admittedly deliberate face mask in the Superbowl by Carolina.

Wasn't the deliberate facemask by Denver?

Mis-typed for sure. Talib(an) was responsible. That team won like BB's too. Maybe they are on to something.. :?
