Good idea about Mack! Also, I read last year that Aaron Donald was high on Xavier Jones--I'd like to see what he's got too.

Is there really a hot market for the RBs currently unemployed?

The Cam news is tragic but i agree with Talib, it's a fairly plug and play position.

Then again, i think there's an argument to be made that the Rams offense stopped being great at the same time Gurley did...

I just rewatched the rams v saints game from Kupps rookie year. I must say Gurley was a beast and Sullivan, Saffold and Whitworth were solid on the left side of the line. Goff looked very good too. Over 350 yds iirc. Romo had a man crush on him.
Gurley made a difference. No doubt. No cover 0 yet either.

How about signing one of those 'old reliables'…

Le Sean McCoy…? "Another Eagles reunion… 'When Hell freezes over II…'"

Le'Veon Bell…?

LeGarrette Blount…? "Mr. Super Bowl Lucky Charm…"

Adrian Peterson… "He's making the rounds and he hasn't played for us yet…"

or maybe even… Todd Gurley…? "You CAN go home again…"

first, tough blow to the rams but an even tougher blow to akers, he seems like such a great kid, who was just about to become the premier back on a super bowl contender, it's enough to make anyone sick!

re the "stafford's never had a quality running back" thing, or "his rbs have gained 100+ yards in game only a handful of times during his career" thing, it's a bunch of meaningless nonsense imo...

last season josh allen didn't have a single 100-yard rusher, and his top rusher ranked 23rd in rush yards and 26th in yards per carry among the 47 rb with at least 100 carries - josh allen also didn't have hall-of-famer calvin megatron johnson to throw to.

yet the bills finished 3rd in offensive scoring, only 1 team won more games, and they reached the conference championship game.

and the 2020 super bowl winners? they finished the year ranked 29th in total rush yards and 25th in yards per carry, yet somehow managed to finiish 2nd in offensive scoring.
