And.. your point, to me, makes his turnover issues worse, not better. turn the ball over 1.5 times a game, every game... you have 24 turnovers on the season.. and.. how much real impact?in order to average 1.5 turnovers a game, "every game", you have to mix in a lot of 2 turnover games (because, of course, there's no such thing as a 1.5 turnover game) - so let's say 8 two turnover games and 8 one turnover games, that gets us to your 24 on the year - dating back to 2010 teams own a cumulative 500-759-4 (.397) record when turning the ball over twice in a game - so that's half a season's worth of games with a 39.7% chance of winning.have a few bad turnover games, let's say 3 four turnover games, and then 12 one turnover games and one 0 turnover game, that gets us to your 24 on the year too - dating back to 2010 teams own a cumulative 980-781-7 (.556) record when turning the ball over only once in a game, and a 1045-325-6 (.762) record when not turning it over, so that's 13 games with a better than 56% chance of winning.i know which math i like better. by AvengerRam 4 years 7 months ago Total posts: 8920 Joined: Oct 03 2017 Lake Mary, Florida Hall of Fame Goff POST #176 PARAM liked this post Goff has 14 turnovers this year. 10 were concentrated in 3 bad games. In the other 8, he's averaging .5 turnovers/game.Same deal last year. Goff had 21 turnovers. 15 were concentrated in 5 games. In the other 11, he had only 6 (.55/game).The fact that his turnovers are more sporadic, rather than a consistent, game-to-game issue is the reason why the Rams are 16-11 with Goff at the helm in the last two years, rather than the South side of .500. 1 by bremillard 4 years 7 months ago Total posts: 697 Joined: Sep 30 2019 LA Coliseum Veteran Goff POST #177 TOPIC AUTHOR PARAM wrote:It's not controversial. That puts him near the bottom of that list all time. You should see who's ahead of him and, to me, that's the biggest JG issue. What could that possibly mean...Why... its almost like the Rams frequently had a lead towards the end of games and didn't need to win on a final drive. by max 4 years 7 months ago Total posts: 5714 Joined: Jun 01 2015 Sarasota, FL Hall of Fame Goff POST #179 Is there a pattern here? I don't know, but here's what I see. These are Goffs last 43 games going back to the start of 2018...Game 11 was against KC in 2018. Game 12 was Detroit. The turnovers were a problem at that point. The turnovers continued to be an issue into the last half of 2019. Then in late 2019 and into the start of 2020 the turnovers looked to be much better. Then the Miami game happened and the turnovers are a problem again. ~ max ~“The consciousness of good intentions disdains ambiguity.” - Alexander Hamilton, The Federalist Papers by Hacksaw 4 years 7 months ago Total posts: 24523 Joined: Apr 15 2015 AT THE BEACH Moderator Re: Goff POST #180 max liked this post Good to see you max. It's been a while. Interesting graph. So he went 14 regular season games w/o a fumble until Miami this year but had a 15 game stretch fumbling prior to that. I'm hoping that trend changes or were in for another 9 or 10 games of frustration.3 and 4 pick games shouldn't happen either. GO RAMS !!! GO DODGERS !!!
