Apparently Kai Forbath. We all knew this had to be coming. Maybe this is what it takes to light a fire under Sloman. Who knows but McVay had to do somethng.

I'm never not going to be pissed about this. I can't possibly see the reasoning of using a pick on a kicker and not grabbing Blankenship and taking Sloman instead. The only thing I can think of is the kids related to a friend of McVays or there is a personal connection in there somehow with Sloman having gone to the same college as Sean. There isn't a scout in the world that would have had Sloman ahead of Blankenship and if there is one on the Rams payroll that should be corrected effective immediately.

...and just to chime-in with my Albertan neighbour to the northeast, there was another more subtle sin that Sloman committed last Sunday night in Santa Clara, which McVay referred to via one of his media zoom sessions. :idea2:

After Josh Reynolds late TD last Sunday Night, the 49er KO Return team were all lined-up close near to the 10 Yard Touch Line near mid-field anticipating an OnSide Kick from Los Ramos.

Apparently there was "a plan" by McVay to forego the low-percentage OnSideKick option, and instead pin the Niners deep, stop'em quick, and after the Niner punt, have Goff end up with the ball near midfield, with time still on the clock.
THE PLAN: BY HAVING SLOMAN POOCH KICK IT DOWN TO AROUND THE 49er 5 OR 10 YARD LINE, IT WAS REASONED THAT THE NINER STers WOULD BE SPRINTING BACK TO JUST JUMP ONTO AND COVER THE BALL TO MAINTAIN POSSESSION. THAT WAS "THE PLAN". :idea2:

BUT....what does Sam SharpAsABagOfWetMice! Sloman do?
Why he boots it thru the Niner End Zone of course!!! :roll2: :arrow2: :oops2:

IMO, Sloman's chances of being on the Rams Roster after Hallowe'en are Slim & None......and Slim just left town! :idea2:

I think this because history shows that Sean McVay does not like it when he gets unwelcomed surprises from his ST charges....
just ask Pharoh Cooper and John Bones Fassel!!! :idea2: :arrow2: :!2:

I don't blame Sloman on the block field goal block tonight. Roy Robertson-Harris is 6'5", with a wingspan of 7'2". We don' have those type of players on our roster, and can jump as well. to block field goals.

I do blame Sloman for the past weeks, because he sucks, but tonight, I'll lets slide, just for tonight. That is due to, we have not played anyone with a player with a long that size on defensive side of the field goal.

Both Floyd and Lewis are 6’5” with insanely long arms. Just saying.
Sloman has trajectory issues. Greg Z almost never had a kick blocked, especially due to elevation. Even on 50+ Yard kicks. Sloman is either cut or demoted to the PS.

Forbath will be kicking starting at Miami. Almost guaranteed.

Low kick trajectory probably does not equal long term success for Sloman. Anyone watching his attempts from the end zone camera can see the flaw.

I hold my breath every time I see him line up for an extra point attempt, let alone a field goal....

If McVay sticks with the kid I fear we're gonna lose a game on a missed last second kick that 95 percent of NFL kickers would make.

Speaking of "flaws".....

IF McVay keeps this lousy kicker, from his Miami Ohio alma mater, who is clearly ineffective versus NFL competition, THEN McVay has a flaw! :idea2:
Is it ONLY his Irish stubborn streak?

OR....
What.....did McVay flunk trigonometry or some other course at Miami Ohio, and the staff decided to fudge him through with a bare pass, so he could get his diploma or something??? :? :arrow2: :?2:

It makes no sense that we took Sloman over Blankenship for starters....and it makes zero sense to keep this Sam AccidentWaitingToHappen Sloman anywhere near our roster!! :idea2: :arrow2: :x

Something smells fishy in Copenhagen to this ol' Rams fan. :|
