Avery had a little success in KC for a year or two. He was a deep threat that didn't seem to understand route running.

Kennison had success later in KC. But Avery was the same ole in KC. 40 receptions in 2013, injured in 2014. Kennison in KC had a couple of 1000 yard seasons.

I agree with your description of Avery. You're not a deep threat if you can't run other routes and so become predictable and easy to contain.

As i've said a million times before, coaching is so important. I was ever so slightly Suh over Bradford because Spags was our coach. He knew D, figured he had a better chance of maximizing Suh.

In the Spags/Fisher years it was virtually a lock that our offensive players would under perform...

Kevin Demoff. I read where he grew up a RAMS fan and even had a Jim Everett poster on his wall. Thinking we'd stay with the classic uniform and helmet I wrote him last year and asked him to please consider thickening the horns on the helmet as they had gotten too thin and that many RAMS fans became fans because of the helmet. Anyways...lol

For me, Tavon Austin. I was convinced he was going to make a big difference for us.

But I still don't think the problem is his size. Case in point: Tyreek Hill. Tavon either can't run routes, or can't catch, or both.

Greg Robinson....
I remember watching his workouts in the pre-draft stuff. He moving his feet like AD. I was like this guy is going to crush it in the NFL, big and agile as hell. Well we know what happened with that. No drive among other things.

And we wasted a #2 overall.

Some notables we missed on. Not that all were worth a #2 but likely would have helped the team more than Robinson did..
Thank goodness the Rams selected AD at 13.

Beat me to it brother. Glad I read the whole thread before posting. I was confident Dumoff knew how much the helmet horn means to history and to all Rams fans. I believed him when he said "we won't mess with the horn". His actions pissed off a lot of Ram fans and will continue to do so until his blunder is fixed.

It's one thing to accept a crappy STOLEN ASU logo but it's another thing entirely to change the helmet horn to whatever that thing is now. Dumoff desecrated an ICONIC, HISTORIC and well loved legacy.

IMO, he has had a more negative effect on our Rams than any of the players I can think of. If players can be cut for under performing, so should Dumoff. Of course he can make things all better by bringing back the Horn. Will he? Time will tell but as of right now, he has cemented his place in Rams infamy.
