I think we all agree on this. But - is Fisher willing and able to do it?

More able and willing than most others IMO.

1) From LA (Mom still lives there)

2) Has moved a team before.

I am willing to bet that Fisher is thrilled by this move. And it totally changes how they have to manage personnel. I can see Fisher being here for years to come. Players love this guy. They play hard for this guy.

This is far from the same LA they left 21 years ago. This is far from a different NFL the Rams left LA 21 years ago.

We are quickly going to become one of the NFL's favorites. A 7-9 team basically three years in a row getting prime time attention next season? Count on it!!!

Epiloge: After writing this masterpiece I realized i missed the point. Opps. :)

His mom is a Bruin fan :)

Well heck, so am I!!!! :)

Good question. From a player-personnel standpoint, I'm skeptical it changes anything strategically -- we still got a cap, JJ/DS and others have seemed to prove that an owner can't simply buy a winner, and Stan's an analytics guy. Dude bought his own analytics company and is a fan of Billy Beane. I think they know they need to upgrade the talent on offense, but I think that's easier said than done -- I mean they can want to upgrade the offensive talent all they want, doing so is a different matter.

Now, from a coaching standpoint -- schematically, I think Fish will coach to the personnel, and, well, um, on the shows last night, I saw several mentions of Gurley being the young superstar (okay, "several" may have been ESPN on a loop). So, it's probably still going to be a run heavy offense -- maybe? I agree that an out of house OC is called for -- but any OC is going to coach to the team talent strengths, and if the team strength is the run game, there's not going to be a real, visible, dramatic change, right?

Oh god, I feel like I've talked myself into a "no" response while typing this up. Maybe they try to incorporate cutting edge tech? Some stories/marketing about VR and drones being used by the coaching staff?

Go Bruins! (even though I went to a different UC).

Superstar

It is hard to see Fisher succeeding...7-8-1, 7-9, 6-10, 7-9. His best year was his first...that is not upward progression. They couldn't sweep a deplorable 49er team this past season. Unacceptable.

Fisher needs to go, and if he gets an extension...man, that tells me something about our owner.

Yeah, it is great...Los Angeles Rams...sounds good, I was raised with that team name. However, this team has blown for quite awhile. Stan, your work is only beginning.

Well, the charade of pretending to be a power running team with an O-line full of rookies and unproven players, in the greatest passing era in the history of football, is now over. The brown-out offensive tankage of the last several seasons can be replaced by a 100% effort to put the best team on the field to sell merch and actually a majority of football games. Mission Accomplished by ESK, Demoff, Snead and Fisher. Now win.

I don't think guys would take less money to play in LA but I don't think we'd have to over pay either. I have to believe given the choice it would be a tie breaker to come play for what will be the hot place to play.
And a kick ass defense already

What an idiot this poster is. Based on today's OC "signing", Fisher plans on more of the same.

Personally, I am counting on this and hope to be involved if at all possible :)

Perhaps, Boras is the OC and Martz gets hired as the passing game coordinator???? Weirder shit has happened.
