Unless the NFL sees the value and enough upside to create a spring/developmental league.

You mean again? They tried that with NFL Europe and gave up on it. College football is the developmental league for the NFL.

So another league fails, not shocked. The only possible league that can work is a minor league system connected to a NFL franchise.

The AAF didn't have an official connection to the NFL but they did their best to be an asset to them. Their financing, it turns out, was shaky as hell but i think that's the right model.

Then again it's pretty unfair to judge the XFL for being taken out by a pandemic...

I mean hell, there are whispers around Major League Baseball saying they can’t lose a season or multiple teams are toast.

Plus interesting news from here as they are questioning the debts owed to St. Louis. The XFL doesn’t have the right creditors listed and the numbers seem too high.

Again, that's what the NCAA and to a lesser extent the CFL already provide. There just aren't enough diamonds in the rough to sustain a league. For every Kurt Warner, there are 20 Philip Nelson's. With the XFL and QB's in particular, it only took a few weeks before pretty much every QB other than PJ Walker showed why they are barely worth a backup spot. Even Walker probably won't be any better than a backup.

There are just too few NFL caliber players that come out of a league like that to make it worth all the time and money.

That's why the USFL put up a reasonable fight. They actually had NFL caliber players and they were in direct competition with the NFL. All this minor league stuff won't fly IMO.
