I don't like all the days off-- which continue. Maybe it preserves our guys from injuries, but I think the lack of practice sessions shows in our overall toughness. I think our plays get run okay... but we still have a generally simple playbook.

Still I think we're a good team. I think if they can stop Kittle and pick Garoppolo (just once, you can get in his head) we have a shot.

Well, I am just not quite ready to start talking off season. Frankly, it’s all about this game for me. I want our boys to beat the whiners into the ground. It could happen. Our D handled them last time. Our O? Shit the bed. I see an even better output by the D. And, see the O actually handling that pass rush. I think Gurley goes off and Goff is smart AND aggressive for the win.

RAMS 20
whiners 13

This game will make the Rams season. If they get swept by the tinpans and (they are the under dogs), it will be a bitter tough pill to swallow. However but; if they reach way down like they did in 1990 and dominate on both sides of the ball in the rain in Candlestick I will consider this season a success. A quick note The Rams were 4 and 7 the tinpans were 10 and 1 the Rams dominated and won 28 to 17 with the tinpans getting a last second field goal so it wasn’t even that close.

My final take on this game is that with a win over the 49ers, the season is a success. (Even if they tanked game 17 and finished 9-7)
History is not kind on SB losers the next season, and the Rams are no exception. To be able to be at your worst at times, slapped with injuries and yet still turn around a winning season while beating your 2 biggest divisional enemies? Yeah, not bad at all.

Got to beat the 9ers as if its their SB

I have been around them for quite some time, even when they were in the midst of some ridiculous streak I knew a few that would tell me "I don't feel good about this one". The notion was that no matter the record or the lineup that a Seahawks/Rams matchup was up for grabs.

I am convinced of nothing. While I hate depending on help, especially the specific kind of help we need I still want a chance at the post season and my 45 year disgust with the Niners has no boundaries. Out of all the old rival stuff from the original NFCW and then the modified version they are the constant.

Constantly rude, arrogant, ugly, delusional, self anointed best ever and the biggest pains in the ass on the planet ... their fans too.

I remember that game well. I sat around a group of Niner Bandwagoneers in Ontario, you know.. they loved them some Niners long time while they had Raiders gear still lying around. It was Fantasy football peer group and I was a Jim Everett to Flipper double dipper. There were turnovers to no end and as a total Rams homer I had Cleveland Gary who scored several TDs. It started off with my friends mocking me and warning me of the beating the Rams were to receive so everytime the Niners had a TO I would scream "Oh No... well THAT wasn't supposed to happen" or "Oops, couldn't see that coming".. It was a genuine Summerall/Madden CBS game and Madden used to slobber all over the Niners so I said "Oh no! what is Madden going to do if he can't choke on Montana's Chowder" My then GF warned me that I was not making any friends that day. I responded by reminding her "Sweetie, these guys are already my friends and after all the crap they dished out, I'm sure they can take it". Heh... The really funny part is that I watched the NFCC with them too.

Exactly. They are supposed to win every game against every team because no other team matches up with their awesomeness. In 1985 I drove up to the NW to visit my grandparents for a few weeks prior to joining the Navy, my wingman had family just outside of SF so we stopped there for one night. We ventured into town and didn't realize what the "Castro" district was but there was a guy with one of those long parka jackets in Niner branding standing on the corner. I yelled out that the Niner's sucked and his response was to reveal himself to me, a 17 year old that had just enlisted in the Navy. A few corners up, I looked into the Dunkin Donuts only to see a guy in a Niners Jersey making out with a guy in the Motorcycle outfit from the Village People. Today that's nothing... but in 1985 you couldn't unsee it. That Niners fan in the act of forbidden love was etched in stone with the impact only Medusa could deliver.
