Starter

Roman Gabriel, from 1966 or '67. The '69 season was incredible for a little kid Ram fan. Cried like a baby on December 27, 1969 vs. the hated (forever for me anyway) Vikkies. Shoulda won that playoff game. Woulda crushed the wimpy ass chiefs. Argh, one of the worst days of my life....

Roman Gabriel. I probably didn't see him play in more than a handful of games. Probably saw him in more John Wayne movies.

Rookie

Zeke Bratkowski. Bill Wade was the backup. People in our section always used to yell “We want Wade” until he actually became the starter - then they switched to “ We want [Frank] Ryan.” I learned as a young lad that the backup is always a lot better until he actually gets in the game.

He played in 4 games, and 4 decades later I’m still a fan
Can you imagine ol' Joe Willie playing in today's game with the way QB's are protected?

Namath was the definition of swagger and probably had too much faith in his arm at times but that guy was literally hunted by the opposition and played through some hellish beatings, injuries and pain.

No doubt. He could sling it.
And if they had the meds we have now back then, 34 isn’t so old like it was.
Damn he looked good in the uni, just didn’t have good looking results.....
