Stranger wrote:I strongly recommend trying to watch the 2014 Olbermann interview that I linked to. Again, you'll need a VPN program to view it, as the video is not available for viewing in the US.

In that interview there are some interesting comments, namely:

1. Olbermann saw Dick Butkiss on an airplane, who was reading the book just after it came out. Dick commented to Olbermann that everything in the book was true.

2. The book's author concludes that Carrol Rosenbloom (a) did not bet against the Colts in the Superbowl that they lost to the Jets; (b) that Carrol did in fact die of a drowning accident and was not murdered.

3. The author also says that the NFL environment is still conducive to cheating, but he didn't give any examples beyond what he says happened as late as 1988.

4. Lastly, Olbermann mentions that the Mara family, founders of the NY Giants, came from the gambling business. I found this clip from an article that discusses the family history:

"Gambling was something well known to Tim Mara, the founder of the family fortunes. Born into relative poverty, the young Mara started as a runner for bookies. By the time he turned 18, he had established his own betting business. In 1925, he was offered the New York franchise for the then five-year-old league for an alleged $500. "

Anyway, it's all pretty interesting stuff that doesn't get much airplay in this corporate media dominated sports world we now live in.

The whole aspect of the team swap was always very interesting. Rosenbloom may not have bet on the SB but he did have ties to oc in Baltimore. There has always been speculation that Rozelle approved Georgia as an owner and refused to penalize her for the ticket scalping incident because she knew too much about the NFL's history with OC.

Been surfng the web tonight - can't sleep after the big Seattle win. Stumbled upon some more interesting stuff by Moldea. Here, he's talking with Jonathan Kwitny ( amazon.com/Endless-Enemies-Making-Unfriendly-World/dp/0865531242 ) regarding the Mafia and the JFK assassination. Posting for those who maybe interested... ( I just realized after posting this that part 3 is not the right video, but it seems to be a problem with the publisher. Dan, if you're seeing this, I hope you can direct us to the complete interview)
