avenger, i was thinking the same way earlier this morning, but as i read through the posts, (and re-read a few) i just finally got my sloramfan to the death, jacked up, fired up, and good to go, we need to kill this fu&%ing dynasty, feeling started...

i'm REALLY sick up and fed, with the non-stop brady ball massaging, and billichek ass kissing from the media...

our team is the better team, and with that comes the nervousness i now feel...not always does the best team win, and breaks usually have a big part in any outcome.. THAT'S where the nerves begin to spring up..

we gotta get this done, RIGHT NOW... the best way to kill a snake, is to cut the head off.. we have the horses, now we just need to do it...

last week went pretty quick, but right now, this week is starting to move into a slow grind...

sunday, right now, can't get here quick enough for me.... and the 330 kick-off? YUCK!!!

it's really been a glorious year, and now to ice the cake...

I'm kinda nervous about this game too but keep thinking back how we beat a more talented team in the Saints at a crazy, hostile N.O. Dome environment. I'm thinking that we may actually have home field advantage this Sunday because most folks outside of Boston are sick of watching the Pats in the SB. It all comes down to coaching.

Well I had a conversation with my BF/drummer who's staying at my place. He's from Boston and he's a tad arrogant. No actually he's a lot arrogant. Especially when it comes to Boston sports.
He is so certain that the Pastrys are going to crush us that he decided to go to his brother's so not to be "tar and feathered" by myself and all the loyal Ram bro's and bra's at my place Sunday.

I'm relieved because I didnt want to see him die.

I so hope to be the one gloating come Monday morning. He got the last laugh on the Red Sox vs Dodgers series. No repeats. That one wasn't even close.

The Rams are going to have to come out of the shadows here. Surprise everyone. We have the team to do it as long as we win in the trenches.

Their line is supposedly huge. Or is it the sack ratio fooling folks?

Eithe way we need to take away the quick hitters and dump offs to the flats. We do that and just maybe we get to Tommy boy and bum him out.
Time to wipe that smirk off his face and send him off with all his records and his 5 rings.

@AvengerRam Glad you started this thread. I think we all kinda needed a space to let out some of the things we are feeling.

I was super confident when i knew we were facing Dallas. I knew we were far better than them.
I was not confident against the Saints because they had as good a team as ours. As good a coaching staff AND home field which is significant. To me it would be an upset if we won. I spent the whole week agonizing over it. And the thought that it will feel horrible if we lose. Believe it or not @dieterbrock confidence at a Rams win compounded by the quiet confidence the players exuded really did make me feel better leading up to the game.

This game...….. i purposely stayed away from mentally engaging into SuperBowl mode the first week. The New Orleans tears was a good distraction. I wanted to face the Patriots instead of the Chiefs. I think we have a better team than them just like we did against Dallas. But i don't have the same confidence like i did against Dallas because of their elite level coaching/game planning and Brady's vast experience.

Then i think about the meta aspect of this Sunday too. Look this organization hasn't had many Super Bowl appearances. We all know ow tough it is if you aren't the Patriots. So on the one hand i feel we might not get back here for a long time...……… and as fans we should make a pact with ourselves that win or lose we are just gonna enjoy this week because we don't know how long it will be before we feel this again. On the other hand that same thought leads me to think we HAVE to take our shot when we can and we MUST win. We have the better players. We have momentum. Why not us?

I don't even care about the whole lets start our own dynasty. I just want to end theirs. They've had their time. Philly beat them last year and people thought its over but here they are again. I just want to beat them soooooooooo much. it will leave a bad taste in the mouth knowing we had a good chance and couldn't for whatever reason.

My plan is: get drunk on game day. Watch the game drunk and then get REALLY drunk after the game ends. Win or lose.

I am torn between "fear of losing knowing we could win and we could beat them" and "just enjoy the ride and don't worry about the game". How can i not worry.

Someone asked me before Championship weekend whether, if the Rams beat the Saints, I'd rather face the Chiefs or the Patriots.

Admittedly, my answer was somewhat of a cop-out/hedge: I said, if the Rams are destined to win it all, I'd rather it be against the Patriots. If they're destined to be the runner-up, I'd rather lose to the Chiefs.

I guess I still feel that way. The thought of watching the Patriots celebrate again turns my stomach a bit, but the idea of getting revenge is pretty sweet.

We're a year or two ahead of schedule, not that McVay didn't expect this so soon. I think we, as fans, didn't expect it so soon. But the team is young, talented, has most of it's stars signed and should only improve in 2019 and beyond.

So we're playing with house money. It's win-win but I'd still like a win!!!

How could you NOT think we had a serious shot after last season and the off season we had? I called SB before the season started, as did my Falcon fan brother. And I meant it.

Here we are, not too soon - pretty damn late for a lot of us (18 years is a looooong time), But, I remember 1999 and 2001 like they were yesterday.

I am much calmer now, however, lol.

yeah, i'm in the house money camp too, have felt that way for many years now, dating back to the gsot days, awesome if they win, but if they don't it won't in the least bit diminish the absolutely fantastic season they've had as far as i'm concerned... in fact the way they were able to build on a great 2017 season is almost as exciting to me as a lombardi, in that it points to a winning team for years to come, a team that will continue to have shots at the lombardi.

anyway, can't wait for the game, just to see them take the field on super bowl sunday will be a friggin' blast, and hopefully they can add a punctuation mark to this great two-year run.
