I didn't think there was a lot of interesting/relevant info in the interview. I liked his comment about Oakland getting something done. Also, I liked what he said about needing an owner with a lot of money, like Stan K., that can make LA work.

I am not certain St Louis can meet this with any certainty about the "nit picky" items with revenue and financing. From my seat there are an enormous amount of unknowns that any one of these could absolutely derail this stadium plan all together. The most simple one of overruns. Anyone who has been paying attention to any building project, small to enormous, will say they, with very very few exceptions, will always go over budget. More common than not, 20-30%. I doubt very much that Kroenke or the NFL owners want to be responsible for these overruns. They haven't even touched the ground and its costs have gone up this past year.

Do you really want to force an owner to stay where he does not? As Rams fans, we are screwed if they stay in St Louis now. The peeps there do not like Stan and if their wishes came true, want to keep the team and hope new ownership comes in. Sound familiar?

The level of denial in the St Louis media is understandable..but it's also very telling..

In the interview Brandt talks about the Mayor of Oakland impressing the NFL so much and that being the reason why they are now working with Oakland on a potential stadium. He skips over the elephant in the room being Mark Davis has stated from the beginning that he wants to stay in Oakland. That's the bottom line.

but see Brandt and Karriker won't deal with what an owner wants..they won't even bring it up because they know that Stan Kroenke doesn't want the Riverfront project nor does he want to remain in St Louis.

They talked about all sorts of issues related to the financing plan while ignoring that the owner of the Rams neither asked for or wants the Riverfront project....

what and owner actually wants trumps what the media or fans thinks the other owners can make him accept.

I hear you, but why would Brandt be complicit in St Louis media's denial?

the interview was on Karriker's show out of st louis. no way he was going to bring up the concept of what an owner wants during an interview in st louis.

I understand your point, but I don't think that's not a strong enough reason to keep Brandt from saying the obvious and honest trust. I'd gotta believe ESPN has a tacit agreement with NFL HQ not to make statements in home markets that would be inflammatory to the fans in that home market, for the NFL wants to keep home fans guessing and spending as long as possible.

P.S. I thought the most poignant thing Brandt said was about Foles, where he questioned how Foles could have been 14-4 under Chip Kelly but 4-7 under Fisher.
