God knows there's enough to spin. The remediation, the Carson politicians, Carson fund mismanagement, financing, relocation fees, the problems with two teams raising PSL's for the same stadium, two teams in the dame division. I could go on. Why hasn't he done it? Maybe he knows he doesn't need to?It is a bit strange. And I've pointed out in several venues that the media hasn't vetted Carson anywhere near like they've vetted any other sites. ~ max ~“The consciousness of good intentions disdains ambiguity.” - Alexander Hamilton, The Federalist Papers by bubbaramfan 9 years 7 months ago Total posts: 1119 Joined: Apr 30 2015 Carson Landfill Pro Bowl Re: Peter King: Carson is ahead... POST #42 Thx coach. Because I live here in Carson and the outcome will affect me (the proposed Carson site is just 3 blocks away), ever since the Charaiders declared they would build a stadium there I have tried to find out as much as I can and tried to keep up with what the politicians here are doing. The public perception outside of Carson and us locals that live here are very different. Local perception of a stadium is skeptical at best. Most around here know the history of the site and myriad of problems associated with the former landfill and the surrounding area. It is STILL an EPA Superfund site. The mayor of Carson and the city council have been curiously quiet ever since the 10 million dollar budget shortfall came out. I go to the local Mickey D's, just blocks away from city hall almost every morning for coffee and use of their internet. A lot of the folks that work at city hall go there regularly on their way to work. I ease-drop and what I over hear about the stadium, they don't sound to hopeful about a stadium. I think they are in a "wait and see" mode like the rest of us.As for the site itself, nothing is going on there, a pump truck goes in once in a while, but that's been going on for years, way before a stadium ever came up.You can be sure if I hear or see anything concrete, I will be posting here ASAP. by Stranger 9 years 7 months ago Total posts: 3213 Joined: Aug 12 2015 Norcal Superstar Re: Peter King: Carson is ahead...
