Payton is a guy who will keep the foot on the gas even if they have a 30 point lead late in the 4th. This could easily be a blowout if we don't score at least 3 second half TD's. That this loss validated us. The only thing it validates is that we will lose every time against a decent team with a great QB. We would have lost last week had it not been for a huge slice of luck and we couldn’t handle Brees at all. Our offense has a young QB and a young HC. Expect some mistakes. They have set the precedent very high and we forget that they are still very inexperienced. What is the defense’s excuse? Is New Orleans a perfect team. Nah. Because we are all about this season. There are good losses, I know that. I don’t think this was one of them. And there are bad wins and last week against GB was a bad win. The way this defense keeps playing week in week out and the 1 or 2 suspect play calls by Sean every week. Our schedule is only getting tougher. Hawks are playing well and lost a close one today. Imagine Andy Reid and Mahomes against this defense. What’s Kareem Hunt gonna do to us. We are gonna be in the playoffs I’mNot worried about that. But man the 1 and out playoff experience is the worst thing ever. One things gives me hope. Talib is coming after thanksgiving. I agree. Jared did pass a big test. Dude is a gunslinger. Cooks was also amazing. What a great pickup. Kupp also. I have to say one thing to your “long term” narrative. When you start the season as a legit super bowl contender then it’s ALL ABOUT THAT SEASON. That’s why Les didn’t care about the picks for Fowler and Peters and others. I don’t want to be disrespectful to any fan who is ok with a playoff appearance or just saying..... “man we sure have it nice today remember the days of so and so”. Nah...... expectations have to be high. What does this franchise lack in resources. Nothing. So expectations should be high. And when they are high then scrutiny is also strict. Ok..... here’s a question for everyone. Do you believe this is a super bowl winning defense? We are halfway through the season. by snackdaddy 6 years 7 months ago Total posts: 10048 Joined: May 30 2015 Merced California Hall of Fame Week 9 Game Thread: Rams @Saints POST #140 Horny Mcbae, SWAdude liked this post SWAdude wrote:I get you. I never like to lose but I knew it had to happen sooner or later. This game showed we are never out of it. But the one thing that concerns me is the play of the defense. Marcus Peters has been terrible. No one can sugar coat that. The tackling overall was poor. Especially in the first half. There were a lot of first down passes that were short of the stick. I have to think the Saints saw how poorly they tackle and put that in their game plan figuring they could move the chains with missed tackles. For now, I want to look forward to putting a strangle hold on the division by beating the seahawks next week. I also want to see more than a first round home game and first round exit this time around. It won't happen if they don't fix the defense. 2 Reply 14 / 17 1 14 17 Display: All posts1 day7 days2 weeks1 month3 months6 months1 year Sort by: AuthorPost timeSubject Sort by: AscendingDescending Jump to: Forum Rams/NFL Other Sports Rams Fans United Q&A's Board Business 164 posts Jul 05 2025 FOLLOW US @RAMSFANSUNITED Who liked this post

Nah. We made them look close to it. by SWAdude 6 years 7 months ago Total posts: 2450 Joined: Sep 21 2015 LA Coliseum Pro Bowl Week 9 Game Thread: Rams @Saints POST #136 Horny Mcbae wrote:@SWAdude I gotta disagree with your last post on the chat bro. That will be a big improvement. 1 by SWAdude 6 years 7 months ago Total posts: 2450 Joined: Sep 21 2015 LA Coliseum Pro Bowl Week 9 Game Thread: Rams @Saints POST #138 Horny Mcbae wrote:By long term I hope you mean this season’s playoffs. 2 Reply 14 / 17 1 14 17 Display: All posts1 day7 days2 weeks1 month3 months6 months1 year Sort by: AuthorPost timeSubject Sort by: AscendingDescending Jump to: Forum Rams/NFL Other Sports Rams Fans United Q&A's Board Business 164 posts Jul 05 2025
