Stan buying the Raiders
Mark/Raiders moving to STL
Inglewood will house Chargers/Raiders
Rams to London
Stan sells the Rams to local STL folk
Rams to Toronto
Stan sells then gets rewarded an expansion team
Etc

We've heard it all this year.

I've never understood the Bronco solution either. The Denver TV market is about the same size as St. Louis. There are no cross ownership issues and Kroenke doesn't seem like he wants to rule one market, he wants to be the biggest sports mogul he can be with the most vast empire he can have.

London, maybe. Denver, don't see it. Selling the Rams would incur a lot of capital gains and the Broncos are worth more than the Rams so he'd have to pay more than he got. So what's in it for Stan?

Move to L.A. or London, no capital gains tax and the thing he already owns skyrockets in value while expanding his empire.

Denver doesn't do anything for Stan as far as i can tell...

Stan has family and ties to Denver so it stands to reason he's buying the Broncos. Bubbaramfan lives in Carson so it stand to reason he is taking out a 2nd on his undervalued home and buying the Chargers and Raiders and moving them to Carson. Simple logic

I guess I just don't understand what he's supposed to bring. First, he won't even be a part of anything if the NFL doesn't approve the Carson site. Second, "he" hasn't ever done much. Sure, with Disney he's done some things but on his own, not really. Third, he wasn't exactly a whirlwind when he was with ABC and didn't bat 1.000 with Disney. Finally, what does he know about the NFL? I don't see much, if anything sports related in his background.

Iger may have connections but Kroenke "is" a connection. It's one thing if you know someone and can get into a party. It's entirely different to own the mansion and be throwing the party.

I agree. I said this on twitter: Iger is a good guy, just another CEO. He is an employee of guys like Stan. Stan is an owner and a deal maker.

London, Denver may be contingencies for Kroenke if LA falls through.

I love the "may be contingencies" rhetoric.
Boy you could throw just about anything you like in there. It "may be" and it "might not"
Good grief

I haven't read anything to the contrary but I do recall reading about an iron clad trust that Pat Bowlen set up to keep the Broncos in his family. And since cross ownership is resolved, what purpose does Denver hold?

Cross ownership would not be an issue in Denver anyway. The NFL allows you to own other sports franchises in the city you have an NFL team. Cross ownership involves Kroenke's Nuggets and Avalanche competing with Bowlen's Broncos in terms of sponsorships and corporate dollars.

If the Bowlen family has an ironclad trust to shield them from inheritance taxes then Denver is not for sale period. If the Bowlen kids cannot afford the inheritance tax then the Bronvps could be in play

Understood, and that was the theory (weak as it was IMO) PRIOR to Kroenke settling the cross ownership issue.
There isnt one now, he can own any NFL team he chooses. Denver is as much in play as Pittsburgh

The only thing that would make Denver interesting is it's large geographical foot print. Because of it's location and surrounding states and towns in those states, Denver does not have to compete with fellow franchises for fans it has locked up a vast market geographically across states due to this fact of having no next door neighbor. However the geographical area Denver has locked down comes no where near the density LA offers or even London.
