that's how entrenched nfl reporters were in the whole "goff is a mcvay cog" thing, that it took an off the charts game like last night to force their hand, to make them start changing their tune, because now anything short of giving goff his due makes them look like the biggest idiots on the planet... btw, another pet peeve of mine, these morons act like if a qb doesn't face pressure all he'll do is throw complete passes for big yardage and a lot of points... sure, qb stats are typically higher across the board when qb's not pressured, but no one's completing 100%of their passes for a 158.3 qb rating, skill is still required, especially in terms of hitting receivers in stride, going through progressions to find the best option etc., etc., etc... so when they used to claim that goff was doing so well because he wasn't pressured, they completely ignored just how well he was doing within that context, what a surprise.

Kellerman was alright, Steven A-hole not so much. It was all about the terrible Minny D.

Talking about not doing good in pressure,,,
I was watching on NFL Network,, and Charley Casserly was saying Goff doesn't do good under Pressure,,,, Goff is at 50% completion under pressure... Well what QB is great under Pressure,,,

Look what happen to Rivers played the RAMs,,, he was under pressure most of the game,,, and he ended up at 54% for the whole game..

Any one under pressue their percentage of completion is going down... and if at 50% IMO,,, thats pretty good...

I was right there with you, after the game I was like, if this doesn’t end all this product of the system stuff nothing will, well I guess nothing will. It’s funny, yesterday this was a matchup of strength vs strength, today the Viking defense hasn’t been good since the Eagles put it on them last year.
It was McVay who schemed Barr on a receiver and once that happened it was like stealing. “All” Goff had to do is throw the ball. It has turned into, are the Vikings really any good?
The rams will lose a game (probably) then it will turn into , are the rams a fraud?
A lot of the preseason predictions have blown up already, the Vikes the Saints the Pats, so I’m happy with where the Rams are no matter who’s responsible.

goff finished last season with the 10th highest qb rating when pressured, against the bolts he put up a perfect 158.3 when pressured iirc, god only knows what his numbers under pressure looked like last night! i've heard that bad under pressure stuff several times the last week or so, not sure where it started, but no doubt everyone is just repeating it, maybe it came from clayton?
