Looks like the Rams found something in that kid.
My opinion is based off of very little but when he was actually on the field, you could just see that he looked like the real deal. Hopefully he gets more playing time and we can find out for sure.

Damn you, Stranger. I had to listen to those two idiots from ESPN to get to the actual Keenum highlights. You're off the X-Mas card list! :)

I think a little palette cleansing is in order:

That first game that Keenum played was a surprise for most, but he started to come back down to Earth as all QB's do. But, his 2nd year he did some good things for Houston and IMO, isn't a finished product or established his ceiling. Looking at his Rams highlights and preseason, regardless of the backups he was going against, I think the passes were well executed.

He won't be asked to carry the team but I think there's a good chance he'll capitalize on those opportunities are there where Foles has struggled. Looking forward to seeing what he's got. I predict a pretty successful first start.

Size-wise, he's actually very similar to Russell Wilson. Since Fisher seems to want to emulate what the Seahawks have been doing, maybe the Rams can get lucky with their own smallish, unheralded QB?

All i know is that you were right and I was wrong about Foles.
Not to say he cant turn it around, even if he does I never expected him to be worse than Clemens/Hill/Davis at any point in his Rams career

Foles is probably serviceable in many situations but all of his weaknesses were going to be magnified with the Rams.

But that's been a theme for quite a long time. The Rams make QB's look worse than they really are. Was never a fan of Foles but he was doomed to fail here IMO.

Keenum is likely Austin Davis 2.0 but at least that would mean a few games worth watching.

Keenum has much better arm strength than Davis. I was a huge fan of his, watched him play a bit in Houston. Im hoping for a Rich Gannon 2.0
