wouldnt Spanos in essence be a tenant to Goldman Sachs based on the amount of debt load he must carry?

No.. but he'd be a debtor.

Does the NFL want a team to be collateral?

Absolutely not. They have debt limits for teams for a reason. A teams books would be opened in bankruptcy.

Butts knows the game. Every time I hear him speak I'm a little more confident that it's happening and this all just a charade to keep the best deals in other cities going. The fact that they can wait on the league with no worries is a nice sign to me. We'll know in January and there should be an official groundbreaking in Feb I'm guessing. I just can't see them announcing before the Super Bowl. Also gives them something other than the big game to talk about. Also like how he handled who the stadium would be for. It seemed like a done deal when he was in Oxnard to me.

Nothing Butts says is inaccurate, and he never overreaches or tries to hide facts
