Hi chaps,

Thought I'd add my 2 cents as a Seahawks fan and the shape of the roster and how that translates into next season.

We've lost some guys, that's for sure but we've also signed some guys.

The biggest difference, IMO, falls on coaching. Coaching for Seattle was getting pretty thin pretty fast, there are new coaches up and down the tree that will make us better. The only real question mark is Brian Schottenheimer, but I'm reserving judgement to see what he can do with a real QB before I panic.

I'm expecting an influx of young guys into the defense via the draft, too. The only real question mark we have on defense is who starts at CB opposite Shaq Griffin. Every other position is pretty much set. Although we've lost a lot, we had guys waiting in line to replace them.

The biggest holes on offense are currently at LG, TE1 & RB1. I'm expecting RB1 to be picked up in the draft in the second round after a trade back from #18. LG may already be on the roster and TE revolves around Nick Vannett stepping up. He hasn't proved himself yet but equally hasn't really had the opportunity to, either. We shall see on that front.

Ultimately though, we went 9-7 with a god awful offensive line, absolutely zero running game and a defense riddled with injury.

I can say with absolute certainty that it will be either the Rams or the Seahawks will take the NFCW. As I'm sure you're all aware, it all comes down to injuries, the healthiest team will take the crown IMO. No denying the Rams look considerably better on paper but keeping the string of injury luck you guys have had the past 2 years may not be realistic to expect again? Who knows.

Either way, and whatever happens, let's all have a great season!

Let's see how those 2nd in line measure up. We have similar concerns at LB.

Health is always a big deal. Our youth helped us in that regard. Still if you go back a few seasons we've had our fair share of injuries too. Both teams QB's remained upright and that is a big part.

Your last comment, I 2nd.

Appreciate the replies guys.

We are actually fine with regards to the cap.

We currently have around $8.5M not accounting for a couple of vet minimum type deals and Cliff Avril is likely done, too. That will add just over $7M.

I'd expect that money to go on extending DE Frank Clark and LT Duane Brown whilst carrying a few million over into next year.

Wilson is still the best QB in the division until proven otherwise. While he can win games, your roster is obviously not what it was. The championship window seemed closed to me. I do expect you guys to be competitive and a playoff contender. But you have to admit you're no longer the division favorites.

At least most your fans are not delusional like the whiner fans. They seem to think they have the division wrapped up based on one guy. Jimmy GQ. Some of them already think there should be a bust of him in Canton. One guy tried to tell them maybe they should pump the brakes and he was accused of trolling.

All in all, I still think the division is the Rams to take. But I do think the road's gonna be tough. The Seahawks are still formidable. The 49ers are improved on offense. I'm a little skeptical of their defense though. Even the Cardinals aren't a pushover with David Johnson returning.

All in all, I just think the Rams talent will be too much to overcome for you guys. I can see you winning 10 or 11 games. Seems like when the defense slips the offense kicks it up a notch. But being a long time Rams fan I sometimes still wait for the other shoe to drop. All the years of losing will do that. :?

I have a feeling Wilson's gonna have to freelance as much as possible in Schotty's offense. Schotty's never been accused of being imaginative.

Why do I hate Shotty so much? I have a visceral hatred towards him and his damn fucked up schemes...

Hats off to the Hawk fans on this one....or rather, an evil smile giggle.
