We all know Shotty left at an odd time last off season. Most of us agree he was terrible. (I certainly had been beating that drum since the day he was hired by Fisher.)

So was Schotty forced out or did he decide to leave on his own? Most reporters seem to believe he really did leave on his own which means Fisher probably intended to keep him.

Then we had our OC search where pretty much none of the people we expressed interest in were interviewed.

So was Fisher serious about outside candidates?

Was it that nobody outside this organization wanted anything to do with running our offense under coach Fisher (not to mention the relocation drama and a QB coming off two knee surgeries)?

Or is it that Fisher was never serious about a high profile outside candidate and always intended to hire in house and put a bigger personal stamp on our offense?

However we got here it's a bad place to be.

Thought?

I believe Fisher had no intention of hiring outside the organization. He wanted a guy who will run the offense he wants. Basically, a yes man. Fisher is going field a run first, run with power type of offense come hell or high water. His quarterback is pretty bad. But it doesn't matter to Fisher. As long as he can hand the ball off effectively.

The problem with that is, when your line isn't good and when your defense plays like they did today, there is zero chance of a win.

The HC is the end of the road. All thing lead to him or the GM. His philosophy may be OK but his command of how to instill it in others must be lacking. Or is it does it boil down to situations and coach doesn't read adjust well? Or is the OC really terrible and that's Fishers fault for hiring him? Or did no one of quality want to work in Fishers system for some reason, which would be Fishers fault? Or does no one want anything to do with sucky StL or StL Rams which is Georgias fault?
So many questions and so many variables,, but most point at Jeff Fisher.

I haven't watched the post game presser yet, too irritated, but was Fisher asked why they changed their offense after the first couple drives? Willing to bet he did and stated they weren't the built to run that type of offense and they can't sustain it. Which is garbage and Fisher is the reason this offense isn't good at all.

Not sure how much blame to assign Cignetti. There were MANY plays to be made today but Foles was misfiring most of the day.

What irritated me the most about today's game was FINALLY putting Keenum in the game and not calling one, single pass play. What's the point of that? Foles couldn't have handed the ball to Mason for 2 minutes? I mean, if you're going to send him a message by benching him after that interception, why not let the backup actually throw when there's time for a two minute drill?

Fisher sucks.

There's a reason why Cignetti couldn't keep a job in college for very long. He's an asshole who has entitlement issues. His dad was a coach and he got jobs (like shotty) because of his dad. It's laughable that he got an NFL job as a qb coach.
I do believe Shottenheimer left on his own. (And I believe he sucked). But I also believe that nobody wanted the job because they knew fisher was gonna run his shitty brand of football.
And because he's an ego maniac he felt he could just plug a worthless coach in as OC like he did when he named Tim Walton as DC

Idk what you guys were watching but nick foles looked like he's playing in slowww mo and he's very innacuarate.

Even in the Seattle game he looked innacuarate. Don't you remember the sideline throw to a wide open Cook?

He's an average QB like what we allll thought. Let's not act like our coaching staff is working with decent QB.

Every now and again he throws a beautiful 50 yard throw but that's about it.

I tend to agree with most of what you're saying, even though I may not yet have direct evidence. But one question, how do you know Cig is an a-hole with entitlement issues? I'm not doubting you, but what brought you to say this?

Good point about Foles being average.
I had grown tired of Bradford drilling passes where guys couldn't hold on. Early Foles had a bit of loft. I hoped there was more but now all I see is a slow reader with a big floater.

Not only is he innacuarate and slow but he also doesn't see the field really well. The first play of the game in Minnesota to Kenny Britt. Lance Kendrick's and Cook this week. Those are big plays that could change the game.

The guy is 6'7. This isn't normal.
