Canuck: Would you be Ok with Tavon returning punts that hit the ground first? That brilliant 99 yard punt return versus the Colts was caught on the bounce.

I don't think he'll be a Ram come opening weekend.

His hands aren;t that bad, especially considering that every catch has the potential to turn into an explosive big play.

In 2015/16 he was catching 59+% of his targets. Woods was 65% and Kupp was 66%, which is more like it, so 59% is not brilliant but it's not bad considering the big play potential per catch.

It's not comparable considering his receptions were predominantly within 3 yards of the line of scrimmage, not down field like the others

from what i've seen, tavon has always been the consummate team player, a true gamer who loves football, and a guy who has always striven to be a team leader... a year or two ago i posted a bunch of 22 clips showing austin's fearless and selfless blocking, in one clip he decked a guy twice his size, then immediately jumped up off the turf and went after another guy, and he's done this year in and year out, here's just one example from last season:

and when punt return duties were taken away from him in 2017? he could always be seen sprinting down the sideline whenever cooper returned a punt, always the first to run out on the field and jump on coop to congratulate him.

anyway, he's obviously never lived up to 8th overall expectations or the big extension, but from what i've seen he's always played hard and practiced hard, and given it his all when he's on the field. personally i'd love to see him have a great year for the rams in 2018, but if that doesn't happen, or if he doesn't make it to game 1 as a ram, oh well, such is life in the nfl, at least he wasn't yet another me-first, malcontent, prima donna during his time in horns.

A bit different than when I was first informed.

Much better being performance driven. If he does earn the entire 8 million then GREAT for the team. I am going to assume that there are fair metrics to earning this money.

I am very interested to see how this translates this season.

I agree with Mr. Canuckles a page or two back.

Play call: blah, blah, blah.. blah blah, on two. Oh, Tavon, go deep...
