One of my favorite Packers players is now with RAMS :D. What a coincidence! Last season I asked my son in a Packers game “Where is SS?”, because I did not know they cut him. Now we can go see him play in person and against ... the Packs too. Will be a win/win because both are my favorite teams! Can’t wait. :D

I like SS a lot. I'm happy he signed. A great move by our FO. But really concerned about the concussions (not from a perspective of us not having him available) and sort of wish he'd found a happy life outside of football. Not that I'm informed or a big advocate on that issue, but tangentially read some stuff that made me think he should think health first. Don't know anything about his personal (family) situation, and think he could be a big asset, but I guess these "risks" hit home for me a little more when the guy's wearing horns. If anyone can share more on this, I'd like reading it and being better informed.

I thought the same my friend.

Have a good friend who played in the 70's who has been battling early dementia for a while now. It is a real thing.

Hope he has good health too. Imagine you have to cover Megatron twice a year for several years, this RAMS job could be a little less stressful for Shields.

Injuries and former injuries are real issues, but Shields will not be a full-time player (if he makes it) and so that could mitigate those concerns some. If he makes it, he’s a 3rd option and depth behind Peters and Talib. Which I count as good.

I know the odds is against him to make the team, but I root for SS. He was one of my Packers favorite players and if he makes the team, it shows that hard work pays off. Sam, Look at Roger Federer’s comeback for your motivation:)

if he makes it, an injury to a starter would be a lot less stressful...

we got the best cornerback tandem in the league, but (knock on wood) injuries are a big part of the nfl...

stay healthy...

go rams
