Hopefully, the NFL will let the Rams to have another good year, but this time go farther in the playoffs. Donald really isn't a good football player. He's just fortunate that NFL picked him to be one of the bet defensive players. Hopefully, the NFL will let him has a few more great season for the Rams. Donald is a great actor. They only chose Goff because he looks good on a surf board. 1 by TomSlick 7 years 5 months ago Total posts: 2908 Joined: Jun 01 2015 Many of us know the feeling of the universe conspiring to bring car and driver together. That's how the good ones remain elite, and the RAMS of yesteryear flounder for seemingly decades. Old race cars and the men and women who piloted these beasts are covered in Vintage Motorsport magazine. The eras covered are about 1900 to the year 2010 or so. Moderator Les Snead Talks to the Media 1-10-19 POST #13 Salary cap management, along with identifying and retaining key core "difference makers" and fitting them into the cap is how you build a mini-dynasty. Snead has his work cut out. He has made some contractual gaffs (potentially) - Tavon for sure, but Barron, Quinn...they have these bloated numbers BC the Rams knew they would either be renegotiating or moving on, based on performance). Sneed also has to manage futures (Goff, Gurley) in all this.He certainly has his work cut out. But, he seems to be or have become adept at F/A acquisitions and the draft, the latter of which can help you maintain/get better on the cheap. just have to live with rookie growing pains initially. there is some developmental depth at key positions; WR, TE, D backs - to a lesser degree. DL, OL, LB - not so much. I would be surprised of those last three areas aren't where a majority of the focus is - in-house, F/A and the draft. You can add DBs as well to that list. Regarding Watkins; we have two guys (Reynolds/Thomas) that combined, with a presumed big jump in development, gives the Rams some hope should they not be able to afford Watkins. I can see both Quinn and Barron asked to restructure. I can also see them letting both walk. In-house they don't have anything at OLB/rush, inside they have Littleton but he is a tick below Barron (instincts/athleticism/experience). O-line - well I didn't see anything from the "depth" that makes me think concentrating on this area won't be a huge priority. There is no way they can count on Sullivan and Whit staying injury free. Gotta make some really smart draft and young (think second contract) F/As - hard to do as teams don't let those type of players go. D-line/inside is a free agent possibility but the draft is really where we need to make hay on basically all the big needs; OL/DL/LB/DC. Keys are finding a way to keep Joyner, Tru if possible, Cody Davis should be doable and plays well enough as depth, NRC, DONALD for Pete's sake, I am 50/50 on Barwin - him and Quinn as rotational pass rushers and at the RIGHT price would make sense. Love Barron, but not at that number. Love the potential of Watkins, but not at top-5/10 WR $ which is probably what he will command. Get Sullivan done for 2 years at the right price to help groom his replacement. This will be one of, if not THE most critical offseason we have gone through in a long time. we are not building anymore - we are shaping and tweaking in order to make extended post-season runs.Get er done Snead, git er done!
