I thought we were getting a pretty good deal giving up a 4 and a 6. And it's looking like we did... Ayers less time on the field? by OldSchool 9 years 7 months ago Total posts: 1750 Joined: Jun 09 2015 LA Coliseum Pro Bowl Re: Gordo: Rams Hit Jackpot with Barron POST #3 bubbaramfan wrote:But where does Barron fit when Tree comes back? Ayers less time on the field?Yes, that'll be what happens and in obvious passing downs he or Tree would come off, the one that stays on blitzes. by snackdaddy 9 years 7 months ago Total posts: 10048 Joined: May 30 2015 Merced California Hall of Fame Re: Gordo: Rams Hit Jackpot with Barron POST #4 bubbaramfan wrote:But where does Barron fit when Tree comes back? Ayers less time on the field?Barron is versatile. Big nickle, safety, linebacker. He's very good at all of those. I think he fits better when Williams devised plays that move him around. I would even consider him every bit as valuable as Jenkins. Jenkins is becoming a lockdown corner and the defense can do different things with Barron. I would consider both of them a high priority to sign to long term contracts. by Ramfan46 9 years 7 months ago Total posts: 123 Joined: Jul 11 2015 LA Coliseum Practice Squad Re: Gordo: Rams Hit Jackpot with Barron POST #5 snackdaddy wrote:bubbaramfan wrote:But where does Barron fit when Tree comes back? Barron is that movable chess piece for Williams IMO. He can deploy Barron from almost anywhere on the field. He's great against the run and can cover TE's. He also brings the wood on his tackles. I'd help Chris Long pack if that's what it takes to keep Barron. I thought The D turned the corner last year when Donald began starting and the trade for Mark Barron.
