Hi All,
What do you think McVay will do? It seems like Ficken’s nerves got the best of him in his debut. Will he learn from it or continue to struggle? We cannot afford to miss the short FG and xtra points. Thanks

Whatever they do with this situation, I think they should play for FG's early next week and see what the guy has. I was hoping Ficken could get another shot from around 45 yards. One a NFL kicker should make but not automatic. The kicker could be the difference between winning and losing in the playoffs.

I would feel better with a veteran, even if they have to sign a kickoff specialist as well.
We had to cover to many kickoffs yesterday and it hurt us.
Sign someone who can boot it out of the endzone and Let the vet kick 35 and in field goals.

Boy, do we miss GZ. Not having him cost us at least 7 points yesterday. There is no good answer at this point. We aren't getting a good kicker off the street at this point in the season. Not sure how the Rams allowed themselves to get into this predicament when they knew GZ was barely holding up all year.

Bad coverage.

I'm talking more about amount of kickoff returns allowed.
The Rams despite being the highest scoring team in the league
is tied at 8th for least amount of returns allowed.
Just another advantage Z gave us.

I hope he gets a number of opportunities against the whiners. I want to win that game and frankly, would love to win it on a field goal. That would do wonders for his confidence.
