I wonder if he'll go back to Phili for the rest of the season the way McDaniels did with NE after the Rams cleaned house at the end of the 2011 season?

This notion that teams should be running *more* does not make any sense in this era of pro football & appears to be purely an appeal to conventional wisdom.

fixed.

gotta respect the job that the seahawks have done to compensate for their crappy pass pro line, but the notion that running the ball is the recipe for offensive success in today's nfl just doesn't really hold water (imo).

excluding the 4th quarter (when score dictates play calling):

run ratio ranking / offensive scoring ranking:

bills - 2nd / 31st
titans - 4th / 25th
jets - 5th / 27th
niners - 6th / 22nd
cards - 7th / 32nd
jags - 11th / 30th

chiefs - 30th / 1st
saints - 15th / 2nd
rams - 22nd / 3rd
bolts - 20th / 4th
colts - 25th / 5th
patriots - 21st / 6th
steelers - 31st - 7th

exceptions?

seahawks - 1st / 8th
texans - 3rd / 17th
cowboys - 6th / 18th

And the Cowboys offense was crap before they got Amari Cooper. Which further bolsters your point.

yep... and before cooper the cowboys' run ratio (excluding the 4th quarter) was the equivalent of a 2nd ranking, right behind the seahawks, with cooper it has dropped to 17th, go figure.
