I doubt the Chargers would be interested in re-signing Gates, but if they did contact him, he should tell the Chargers to $#%& off!

And when people ask why Donald didn’t participate in OTA without a new contract?

from footballguys.com:

1. LA - TE Hunter Henry Reportedly Tears ACL

Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

ESPN's Adam Schefter broke the news Tuesday night that TE Hunter Henry suffered what's believed to be a season-ending torn ACL. He reportedly did it during a drill, running downfield, untouched. Schefter reports Henry will get a second opinion Wednesday.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The team will likely now consider bringing back Antonio Gates. Virgil Green is there but he doesn't seem to get anyone excited. Let's also see how the second opinion turns out. But clearly, this looks rough for Los Angeles and Henry.

2. HOU - QB Deshaun Watson ahead of schedule

Source: Houston Chronicle - Aaron Wilson

Houston Texans QB Deshaun Watson (knee) has made significant progress in his rehabilitation from a torn anterior cruciate ligament and is considered ahead of schedule.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Great news for the Texans here. Watson flashed big-time playmaking ability as a dual-threat quarterback with 19 touchdown passes in his first six starts. Fantasy owners are licking their chops for Watson's potential in 2018. His current ADP is QB2 (3.11) in 12-team PPR leagues.

3. ATL - WR Julio Jones will be at minicamp

Source: ESPN.com - Vaughn McClure

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones is expected to be present at minicamp after skipping organized team activities, according to head coach Dan Quinn.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

OTAs are voluntary, and Jones is seeking a 'correction' to his current contract situation. Minicamp is mandatory, and that is the time when Jones will show up. A superstar and centerpiece of their passing game, the Falcons should be willing to work with Jones even though he has three years remaining on his current deal.

4. MIA - QB Ryan Tannehill sheds knee brace

Source: The Miami Herald - Armando Salguero

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill (knee) took part in OTAs without a knee brace Tuesday, May 22.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's a good sign for Tannehill as he works back towards being 100 percent. The Dolphins didn't draft a quarterback in the 2018 NFL draft, so they're going all in on Tannehill one more time. He needs to not only regain his form, but also show improvement as their starter in 2018 if he wants to stick as their starter.

5. PHI - QB Carson Wentz takes part in individual drills

Source: The Philadelphia Inquirer - Zach Berman

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) saw some action during individual drills at OTAs on Tuesday, May 22.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Wentz has been ahead in his recovery from the knee injury that cut his 2017 season short. He underwent surgery in mid-December last year, and even with him being ahead of schedule, Wentz's status for Week 1 of the regular season is unknown. Barring any setbacks, we could see him under center for the Eagles when Week 1 rolls around.

6. NYJ - Sam Darnold receiving all the reps

Source: New York Daily News - Manish Mehta

New York Jets QB Sam Darnold has received all 16 repetitions in 11-on-11 drills in organized team activities Tuesday, May 22.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Darnold is a work in progress, but there is no doubt that he's the QB of the future for the Jets. We may see Josh McCown begin the season as the starter (maybe), but the team could turn things over to Darnold sooner than expected.

7. NYJ - QB Teddy Bridgewater suits up

Source: Newsday - Calvin Watkins

New York Jets QB Teddy Bridgewater (knee) is participating in organized team activities Tuesday, May 22.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Good news for Bridgewater, but he's still recovering from his knee injury and should be limited in any practice participation. He signed a one-year deal with the Jets and is just trying to put some preseason tape out there to show other teams he can get back to his starter-level of play. Josh McCown may begin the year for the Jets as the starter, but it's clear rookie Sam Darnold is the QB of the future.

8. TB - WR Mike Evans wants to improve

Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Charean Williams

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans is focused on improving his awareness and his yards after catch heading into his fifth season. 'I've got another hurdle to jump over, and I think I'll be much better this year,' Evans said. 'I've got to do better in [yards after catch], and I think if I do, I'll be the most complete receiver.'

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Evans had a down season in 2017 with QB Jameis Winston playing banged up. Last year, Evans fell from the no.2 fantasy WR to the no.22 fantasy WR in standard-scoring leagues. With a healthy Winston and a focused Evans, we should see him back around the top 10 at his position. Evans has a current ADP of WR9 (2.10) in 12-team PPR leagues.

9. OAK - Oakland acquires QB Christian Hackenberg

Source: Newsday - Calvin Watkins

New York Jets QB Christian Hackenberg was acquired by the Oakland Raiders Tuesday, May 22, in exchange for a conditional seventh round pick, according to head coach Todd Bowles.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Raiders don't have much behind starter Derek Carr. Connor Cook or Christian Hackenberg (or E.J. Manuel) isn't a great group of quarterbacks, but that's what the Raiders have after this move. Hackenberg was so bad with the Jets that he couldn't even see the field for two years.

10. OAK - WR Amari Cooper leaves OTAs

Source: NFL Network - Andrew Siciliano

Oakland Raiders WR Amari Cooper (hamstring) left organized team activities early Tuesday, May 22, with a hamstring ailment, according to head coach Jon Gruden.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jon Gruden called it a 'little twing in his hamstring'...whatever that means. It doesn't sound serious, but it is disappointing given how much Cooper is banged up with nagging ailments. They'll wisely be cautious with this injury.

11. GB - WR Davante Adams not practicing

Source: ESPN.com - Rob Demovsky

Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams (hamstring) did not participate in organized team activities Tuesday, May 22.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This is just a precaution for the veteran receiver. Adams said himself after practice that the hamstring injury is no big deal.

12. NE - WR Julian Edelman puts in limited work at OTAs

Source: Boston Herald - Karen Guregian

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman (knee) fielded punts and took part in some individual drills but did not participate in any team drills during OTAs on Tuesday, May 22.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Edelman tore his ACL last August and missed the 2017 season because of it. They'll continue to keep him limited until we get to training camp and the preseason. Coming back from injury, Edelman has a current ADP of WR25 (5.09) in 12-team PPR leagues.

13. NYJ - WR Quincy Enunwa gets some work in during OTAs

Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Rich Cimini

York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (neck) was spotted running routes on air during OTAs on Tuesday, May 22.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

A good sign for the veteran receiver who missed all of the 2017 season due to this neck injury. Reports speculate he could be ready for full participation at the start of training camp.

14. NYJ - WR Terrelle Pryor injured

Source: New York Daily News - Manish Mehta

New York Jets WR Terrelle Pryor (ankle) suffered another ankle injury this offseason, and he's not participating in organized team activities Tuesday, May 22.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

No word on whether this is the same ankle that held Pryor back last year for Washington. He signed a one-year deal with the Jets to prove he can play consistently at a high level. Pryor had over 1,000 yards receiving with the Browns in 2016, but last year in Washington he only mustered 240 yards receiving through nine games.

15. MIA - QB Ryan Tannehill to work in full

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill (knee) will participate in full in organized team activities Tuesday, May 22.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Tannehill hasn't played since December 2016 as he missed all of last season due to this knee injury. At full strength, Tannehill has QB2 written all over him for fantasy owners this year. He'll be operating without Jarvis Landry (Browns) this season, but new targets like WR Danny Amendola and rookie TEs Mike Gesicki and Durham Smythe should boost the Dolphins passing game.

16. CLE - TE David Njoku slated to be full-time starter

Source: Akron Beacon Journal - Nate Ulrich

Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku is going to be the club's full-time starter, according to Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Njoku can be a seam ripper for the Browns, and he should be the primary pass catcher at the position. He's a TE2 with TE1 upside that fantasy owners like taking late in drafts. Right now, Njoku has an ADP of TE17 (13.12) in 12-team PPR leagues.

17. DEN - TE Jeff Heuerman likely starting TE in DEN

Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis

Denver Broncos TE Jeff Heuerman is considered to be the 'likely starter' at tight end in 2018, according to Mike Klis of 9News.com. 'I've been fortunate to learn from some older tight ends the last couple of years and I'm ready,' Heuerman said. 'I'm ready to take on that leadership role, that No. 1 role and go from there.'

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Heuerman doesn't inspire much confidence. A third-round pick in 2015, Heuerman has missed one full year (his rookie season) and only has 18 catches for 283 yards and two touchdowns. Injuries have been one thing to slow him down, but Heuerman only had blocker Virgil Green in front of him and couldn't beat him out. Jake Butt might emerge as the primary tight end for the Broncos, and rookie Troy Fumagalli is an interesting 'F' target who can work the middle of the field.

18. NE - DE Adrian Clayborn could participate in OTAs

Source: The Athletic - Jeff Howe

New England Patriots DE Adrian Clayborn (quad) has recovered from the minor quadriceps injury he suffered earlier in the offseason workout program, according to a source. As a result, it wouldn't be a surprise if he participated in OTAs on Tuesday, May 22, according to Jeff Howe of The Athletic.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The injury was originally supposed to limit Clayborn in OTAs. Regardless of whether or not he practices, Clayborn should be full strength by the time training camp rolls around. Coming off a career high 9.5 sacks for the Falcons last year, Clayborn brings veteran punch to the Patriots pass rush.
