As much as I have enjoyed reading threads on:
-the video of Todd Bowles' Albert Einstein impersonation :? ;
-the ERUFT (Endless Ram Uniform Fashion Tweaking) Debate :P ;
-the allegations of the Washington Indigenous Peoples Football Franchise's mistreatment of their Cheerleaders at lavish Costa Rican resorts....reluctant escorts or willing hussies? Who knows?? :lol2: Who cares!! :idea2: .....and now,
the eternal question on the merits of the Silverback Gorilla as a legitimate and iconic Sports Mascot :shock2: :arrow2: :o ......

as riveting as those subjects have been for me :P ....

I thought I'd toss in a "Ram Football" item just as a change-of-pace OP for variety sake.

To wit, I offer up Canuck's List of Ram Roster PlaceHolders who will require the services available at 1-855-948-1215 in the next 90 to 120 days.....
BTW, that's the toll-free number for ALLIED VAN LINES!! :idea2:

Captain McSnead have navigated the USS Los Ramos from the Fisher Rocky Shoal out into NFL Playoff Bluewater, and now suddenly possessing an elite Roster, the Rams enter the Bellicheck Triangle, where we continue to improve the roster across the board....ie. both starters AND our depth players.....watta concept eh!!! ;) :arrow2: :idea2:

This is a departure from the Chinese FireDrills that Captains Linehack, Spagvaney and Fisher ran since 2005 where we would just bring in platoons of fresh bodies and throw them up against the wall to see which ones would stick. :oops2: :arrow2: :roll2:

So with the 11 picks McSnead extracted from the 2018 NFL Draft, here are the present-day Ram Roster PlaceHolders I predict will be ex-Rams come Week One:
Jake Eldrenkamp OC....McSnead did not draft MSU OC Brian PhoneBoothWarrior Allen because they are fans of the movie "300" and wanted a Spartan on the squad, okay!!!

Aaron Neary OG/C...Much as I'd like for Kupp & Ebukam to keep having Neary as the third wheel of the Eastern Washington Ram Alumus Club, Aaron APoorMan'sTimBarnes Neary got tossed around like a Navy WAVE at a TailHook Party in that 2017 Regular Season Finale against the 49ers.

Dominque Hatfield CB...It was a nice potential rags-to-riches story where Rams needed another CampBody CB for 2017 TC and former undrafted Utah smurf-CB Hatfield got called out "because he lived nearby." Remember how bad Dominique looked in Minnesota when he whiffed on that Adam Thielen guy's long TD???!!! :roll2: :oops2: :arrow2: :evil2:

Omarius Bryant DT....this guy is ManMountain, BUT, has fatique/conditioning problems apparently...so OB went undrafted. I am guessing the Rutgers DT Sebatian InBetterShape Joseph-Day guy beats Bryant out.

Bryce Hager ILB...this FOJF, like Neary, looked JAG-ish against the Niners in last season's finale. McSnead didn't draft Micah TacklingMachine#1 Kiser and attract Tegray TacklingMachine#2 Scales to our 2018 Roster because they wanted a matched set!! Maybe the former Baylor Bear gets on with the 2018 Dallas Cowboys....last time I checked, they needed help in the middle!

Michael Dunn OT....this guy was a worse turnstile in the 2017 PreSeason than Adam KingOfThe"LookOutBlock" Goldberg...and THAT is saying something.

Carlos Thompson OLB....easy come, easy go for this former UDFA placeholder. Try looking for film on this guy....it's easier finding Amelia Earhart's final resting place!!! :?

Garrett Sickles OLB...UDFA because he got kicked-off Penn State squad...so again, I ask this question....if McSnead thought we were deep at the LB position, why draft a whole regiment of new LBs two weeks ago eh??! :idea2:

Justin Davis RB....I like the USC kid Justin BallSecurityIssues Davis, but I saw great tape on John ElusiveTackleBreaker Kelly. Plus John Kelly represents the new McSnead Culture of signing only Uber-Smart Players....I mean, this John Kelly guy not only scores TDs, but he is also President Trump's ChiefOfStaff!!! :shock2: I mean, how intellectually impressive is that eh!!! :lol2:

Lenard Tillery RB....who??? Former SE Louisiana UDFA, way way down in the depth chart....not much doubt IMO that when the music stops in the Los Ramos 2018 RB Musical Chairs Game that Tillery will be a guy left with his butt hanging out.

Cornelius Lucas OT....tall OT. Several stops already in his brief career. Looked decent at RT versus the 49ers in last season's finale, but still and all, Noteboom has better feet and was first guy picked in 2018 Draft by the Rams Braintrust. He might stay with us if Noteboom turns out to be a slow learner....but Joe Noteboom was an Academic All-American no? I've got nothing against Lucas....just looking at the numbers.

Darrell Williams OT....Jamaican kid from South Florida....Darrell FeetInConcrete Williams looked VERY bad at LT versus the Niners last New Years Eve. I heard DW felt SO bad about his BlindSide Performance against SF that he donated one of his kidneys for Sean Mannion's postgame surgery!!! :lol2:

Fred Brown WR....who?? Sorry, but I know bupkus about this Miss.State UDFA. Good luck in your future endeavours Mr. Brown!

So there you have it my fellow RFUers....Canuck's BakersDozen of soon-to-be Rams Castoffs.

Flame away sportsfans....
or, here's an idea, add another Ram name or three!! ;)

Cheers from (finally) sunny Vancouver, BC!! 8-)

With 63 views, I figured fer sure that somebody might've taken exception to one (or more) of the "damned 13" who in my view are likely to be jetsam come September.....instead my missive is buried on Page 2 behind the Tom Brady goes for the LiberaceLook thread!! :oops2:

What? Everybody thinks I'm right on all 13 Dead Rams Walking??? :shock2: 8-)

Okay, in an effort to induce the birth of a "which present-day Rams are likely to be gonzo on CutDown Day in early September" thread, I launch another candidate....Matt Longacre our 6'3" 255 lb 3-year vet DE who scored 5 sacks last year.
Why?

Because McSnead drafted 3 (THREE!) DEs two weeks ago, that's why!
John Franklin-Myers 6-4 283, from small-school Stephen F Austin
Trevon Young 6-4 258, the recovered from fractured-hip Louisville DE
Justin Lawler 6-4 240, SMU who McSnead brought in for a Top30 visit :idea2:

All 3 are younger, taller and cheaper than Longacre....and let's recall that Matt Longacre was IR'd with a back injury serious enough to require Back Surgery.....um, two words here:
Kyle Turley

Kyle was a tough-as-nails RT, had his off-season back surgery, came back to Mike Martz's Country Club TC, and didn't last a month! :(

Maybe Rams brass knew that Longacre's 100% recovery was not in the cards and so then went on that DE Draft spree, no? :?2:

I've got nothing against Longacre....I liked the fact that a UDFA defender from a small school like NE Missouri State made the team and provided effective rotational value.....for the past 3 seasons now.....but look at the numbers, and also recall that Longacre was a Fisher regime guy....whereas Franklin-Myers, Young and Lawler are all McSnead's picks. :idea2:

Question: What is the average Length-Of-Career for a Rotational DE in the NFL anyway??? :?2: :arrow2: :idea2:

So my September ex-Ram body count is up to 14. It will be interesting to see how many I get right.....sort of a reverse Rams Mock Draft, if you will. What do you call an exercise like this......a Rams Mock Cutdown??? :?2:

I don't think Hager is a gonner but with some of the insane roster turnover we've seen, i can barely keep up let alone predict any of it...

Let me start with this topic is much better than some current threads. I agree, it's off-season but still football topics.

I'm not binging on gorillas. 8-)

That being said, I agree with most of the projected roster changes.

The last one is where I have a problem. Longacre is still affordable and played well last year.

I hope his back is strong because the Rams are going to ride with him at least early in the season.

So 5 days after I post my OP (above) on Rams potential cuts in this Canuck's Mock Rams Cutdown thread, Carlos Thompson the former Mississippi LB that was originally signed by Houston as a UDFA in 2016, is the first one off my list of predicted Ram cuts to be gone. :idea2:

Not to gloat or anything 8-) :arrow2: :roll2: .....I mean, there ARE going to be a total of some 27 total Rams cut by Week One....
ie. 90 Total bodies minus 53 Ram roster + 10 Ram PS guys yields:
90 Total - 63 Survivors = 27 Ram Cuts, right?

....and I only put 14 names out there....but Carlos Thompson was definitely an obvious one as McSnead have so many new fresh LBs coming in next month that I figured also-ran vets like Carlos FormerRamDepthLBGuy Thompson would definitely be dialing that Toll-Free United Van Lines number that I provided. :idea2:

Maybe, if Carlos Thompson can stay healthy....maybe he joins Alec Ogletree in New York?....as we all know the 2018 GMen could still use some help at LB.

I don't know if Longacre will be on the final 53. But I think he'll get past the first round of cuts if his back injury doesn't affect him. He showed a little something in his time. He knows the defense. It will all depend how he comes back from his injury. If he comes back full strength I see him on the roster opening day.

I had Lenard Tillery on the Mock Cutdown List....but I assumed Sean OffensiveInnovator McVay had a plan for his 2017 6th Rounder Sam Rogers.

Nice to see that this Rams HC today can actually admit missed/untimely Draft Picks, unlike Jeff Ol'Leatherhead Fisher who hung onto Brian Quick and Isaiah Pead long past their RUSLD (RamsUsefullnessShelfLifeDate) had passed by. :idea2:

Add the 90th body to 2018 Los Ramos Roster....

New Mexico State 5'9" 192 lb. RB LARRY ROSE III....4.46 forty-time! :shock2:
Was a 2018 UDFA with Titans, and just attended OTAs in Tennessee last week, but now is a Ram.
Per draftscout.com Larry Rose III was the 545th best player in 2018 NFL Draft. Rose could be given SJax's old #39, just recently made available by Sam Rogers' departure.

Maybe a STer as KR?

....but what do we do with Pharoah Cooper??? I know, trade Cooper for a 2019 6th Round Pick!!! ;) :arrow2: :lol2:
